The series and "Fight this Feature" were bad enough on their own.

That's unfair.

If you stick with the mythology alone, the series was great until they took it too far, after "One Son," then got REALLY bad after they continued past "Requiem."

Yes, it did.

Ironically, there was an episode called "Jump the Shark" toward the end of season nine - LONG after it had actually jumped said shark ...

No it didn't

War does not make one great.

My dad loved the X-files. I personally loathed it. The characters were ok, but i saw one too many Chris Carter interviews(and I hated him more and more with each one). So basically, with my dad shoving Gillian Anderson in my face, along with Carter's lameness, and the fact that it's everything I hate with "Sci-fi", yeah, I was partying when they finally canceled the sucker. The X-Files is dead, and Carter killed it.

Made for IE Forum's Episode III theme month - May 2005.

I thought the film was OK, but stopped watching the series during the season when Mulder was dancing in front of a mirror inside someone else's body, and the episode where someone could affect the weather with their emotions.
