Ugh. That die-cast Disney brand fills me with endless revulsion. Dunk 'em in a vat of acetone and crush 'em into a cube.
Gods for some, miniature libertarian socialist flags for others.
I’m honestly not sure Id want those even if they had the OUT. Ok maybe I don’t hate it THAT much but still.
I already got the last go round of 4Ks on sale for cheap. No OOT is a nope.
Good God, that’s a bad release. It doesn’t seem like Disney put an ounce of effort into any of it. Even the covers are the most bland, uncreative crap imaginable. At least the 2015 “faces” steelbooks had a semi-cohesive theme.

LMAO, the collective reaction of “who cares” was so strong that Disney chose to devalue their own products before they even released. Expect these things to go on clearance fast.
My preferred Skywalker Saga experience:
I II III IV V VI VII VIII IX
Well…this is sad, but typical of Disney.
What puzzles me is that Disney still thinks the 1980’s paradigm of “VHS collecting mentality” exists. Somehow they still believe that regardless of how many times the product is released, people will re-purchase it because it has a new cover/packaging. I know this was a selling point and genius marketing strategy back in the VHS days, but how can that still be now?
It just saddens me that a classic franchise like star wars has been relegated to this throw away crap.
I still remember when star wars had a home video release date, it was a big deal. The Faces release was a big deal. So were the boxed 2004 and 2011 sets. Yes they had their problems, but at least it was relatively new product…sorta.
Other than the Lowry masters, NOTHING has been done to improve or preserve these classics, at least not officially.
I am going to go drown my sorrows over a beer, and watch 4k77.
I think maybe they will release a 23-disc Blu-ray box set of Star Wars from the original camera negatives in 4K. People would love to see Star Wars in their original theatrical form. I think they will use the 2020 Blu-ray set of the Original Trilogy as the main source and use the original shots from 4K77. The colors, sharpness, brightness, and contrast will have to be based on Despecialized v3.0. It will have no DVNR and it will be using shots of the 2011 Blu-ray release.
Hello!

Very optimistic of you.
They still haven’t even offered 100 gig version of their 4K disc of the 2020 Special Edition in Dolby Vision. And it’s unlikely they will never mind the theatrical.
The Steelbook release was the same disc, I refused to play stupid and buy the same product twice with no improvement.
