Ok you nerds!!!

I don't want to spend loads, but in regards to graphics cards, which is better?

The GeForce 6800GTO PCI Express 256MB
or
The ATI X800GT 256MB

These are two options I have at the moment.

Any good???

That GeForce sounds like the same video card I have.

The last I heard, nividia chips tend to have more power than the comparable ATI chips, but I don't know if those two are comparable.

The difference b/w nvidia and ATI chips is architectural. The GeForce is like having a mini motherboard dedicated exclusively to graphics, while ATI chips tend to use more of the resources of the main processor for graphics processing. In other words, I can't answer your question without knowing what kind of processor you're using. GeForce chips work really well with AMD processors and Intel Celerons because they don't tax the processor as much; ATIs are better with P4s.

The processor is an AMD 64 3500.

So I take it the geforce is probably the better option!

At this point, I'd say the difference between them is negligible.

You probably don’t recognize me because of the red arm.
