Dang, I’ve been interested in this project for quite a while. Even though I feel like the 4K UHD of the movie does a good job at being between the raw RGB colors, while still being more intense and vibrant like the movie on 35MM, I’ve always wanted a good scan of the movie on 35MM, since it’s unlikely we’d ever get the original render, at it’s original resolution, if they even have it anymore.
I saw the subject of audio mixes be mentioned, and I actually have preserved all of the main audio mixes for the film, as found on LaserDisc. While I assume they are relatively close to how it would have been heard in theaters, I cannot say this for sure. The sets I have preserved are the iconic Deluxe CAV Box Set (Containing a 4 Channel Dolby Surround mix, and a 5.1 Dolby Digital AC-3 RF mix), and the rare and expensive DTS disc, which I’m fairly sure is the same mix, but encoded under DTS, which should mean the overall quality is better.
Links to the both of them can be found below. You have my full permission to use them for syncs, whether it’s to the eventual 35MM scan, the Blu-Ray, 4K UHD, or whatever it is.

(I have other audio mixes preserved on that same account, should anyone care)
