In the meantime, for anyone interested in this, I made an unofficial alternate audio track with the Temuera Morrison voice lines (with better line delivery taken from various other media) and Obi-Wan calling Yoda “A Jedi Master who instructed me” rather than “The Jedi Master”. These changes were borrowed from Hal9000’s edit. PM me if you want the link.

Thank you. This is supremely helpful.

A Jedi master who instructed me is the best solution to the issue.

Then why should it matter? Revisited literally looks better then the 4K release of ESB (which looks so desaturated it looks like it was graded by Zack Snyder). The upscale also looks perfect at 1080p. So there’s no issue.

I think a lot of people (myself included) often just automatically assume a 4K version will clearly be superior than anything in 1080p. Absolutely not the case here. There’s really no comparison between Empire: Revisited and the current 4K edition on disc. A testament to Adywan’s amazing skills and uncompromising attention to detail.

If anyone has created a foreign language dub of ESB:R and would like it to be included on the Blu-Ray version, can you please message me. Thanks

Hey Ady, if you’re about to put out the BD version, I have since updated the PT-BR subs I worked on for the 2021 release. I’ll give it one more pass and PM it to you in the next few days.

Have you found out a way to make the audio tracks lossless and have them all fit onto the Blu-Ray?

I’m really curious, Ady. How did you manage to so seamlessly replace the Han in Carbonite mold with the one you created into the movie itself without using any CGI?

From what I’ve seen… recreating camera angles and lighting, plus intensive rotoscoping! Crazy stuff but it looks amazing when completed!

The Skywalker Saga:
I · II · III · IV · V · VI · VII · VIII · IX
This is the way.

the one thing that i wish ESB:R had was this C3PO line from the mono mix

Me too but maybe someone else will do it. I would love to see Ady’s work but with the option to hear it with John Williams’ unused music properly timed but once again work for somebody else.

Do you received my French dub?

I always get worried about disrupting continuity. I seem to get blamed for that a lot.

I’ve got a tech question, well several actually, for those who know about this sort of thing.

Okay, so after dragging my feet for months I finally downloaded the ESB:R rar files, unpacked them, and got it to play. It looked absolutely beautiful, couldn’t be happier. Now my questions are with the playing of the movie. I can watch the film straight through without stopping with no problems but if I pause the film it won’t unpause. If I stop the film it won’t play again. I can’t fast forward or rewind and there doesn’t appear to be any chapter breaks either. Has anyone else experienced these problems? How do I fix these issues? Any assistance would be appreciated, thank you.

I didn’t add chapter breaks. The problem you are having seems to only be present on certain players. Just load the video into MKVToolnix and remux it into an mkv. That should sort out any playback problems when skipping and pausing. You can also add chapter marker with that program if you wish

I’m having the same issue and finding that the restitched file using WinRar has missing file information that many players use to understand duration. I have a video editor that allowed me to save the video to a working mp4 but loses the audio in the process. I’ve also looked into video file fixer apps, but they all want $50 or more for completing the repair process. I’ll check into the mkv tool to see what it can do, but hoping to hear if there are known solutions for this. I’ve watched the whole film despite the described issue and have to say this edition is incredible!

Thank you for digging up that post. I’ve always had that issue in Plex and remuxing it solved the issue perfectly.

I forgot if this was already answered, but will the Blu-Rays of the Revisited Trilogy have lossless audio tracks? Has a way been found to make it work?

This may come off as nitpicky, but I just noticed for the first time in the end credits of Empire Strikes Back Revisited that at the very end, you spelled “unauthorized” as “unauthorised.” I know it’s because you’re British, and I know it’s a very tiny thing, but that’s not how it was spelled in the original credits, so could you please change the “s” to a “z” for the Blu-Ray?

I feel bad that Adywan had to read that.

I know I’ve made some very poor decisions recently.

Yeah, I think I was just spitballing. This isn’t like fixing the spelling of Denis Lawson’s name, because both “unauthorized” and “unauthorised” are technically correct.
