Hi Hal,
would it be possible to get a link to your edits of EP 1-3 and 7-9?
Thank you.

Greetings Hal!
Was hoping I could get a link as well, ep1-9. I have found a few on various torrent sites but it’s a mixed bag of versions and re-encodes. It would be wonderful to get them clean from the source.
Thank you!

Hi there Hal
I stumbled upon your edits and i am curious as to how your changes affect the pace and enjoyment of the movies. I’ve not seen the prequel trilogy in years and the sequels only once in cinemas, would really appreciate a link to those.
Thanks in advance!

Since COD will eventually get an update in the form of TMWNN’s VFX and color work, and we have the 3PO AI voice that Jar Jar Bricks has produced for TROS: Ascendant, I’m drawing up lines to generate for him. Here’s what I’ve got so far.
“Master Anakin rescued me after I was abandoned.”
“Space flight is rather perilous.” (With a tone consistent with responding in agreement to something he just heard from R2)
“I didn’t even survive my last assignment aboard a starship.”
“Master Anakin, you have saved me from the scrap pile and I am grateful. However, I fear your work remains… incomplete.”
——
Note that in the prequel trilogy, there are three lines, one per film, that form a little arch for 3PO. (And he is a slightly different character than the world-weary 3PO we get in the OT.)
“I can assure you they will never get me onto one of those dreadful starships.”
“I’m not worried, R2, it’s just that I’ve never flown before.”
“I think I’m beginning to get the hang of this flying business.”
I do not plan to revise LOE further, so bonus points if the lines generated for COD can set the stage for the last of these. (Ep2’s line was already replaced.)

Hal9000, are you going to incorporate the new lines yourself after TMWNN completes the revisited version?
That’s the plan, yes.

One thing that’s always bothered me a bit in the current release of Cloak of Deception is the music transition between the flag parade and the scene of Shmi telling Anakin to “be safe”. The track just kind of ends abruptly in the middle. The Phantom Editor addressed this by letting more of the track play out at a quieter volume over the next scene. Is this something you could take a look at for the final release?

Certainly could look into it, thank you!

This might be a ridiculously minor quibble, but would it be possible for the burnt-in alien subtitles (and perhaps the optional closed-caption subtitles too) in future versions to use the curly/smart/typographic apostrophes instead of the straight/dumb/typewriter version?
That is to say
’
instead of
'
This would look better and match the subtitles in the OOT. Whether you can accommodate this or not, thanks for your edits.
The subtitles for the prequels (episodes I and II) are as close a match to the theatrical subtitles as I could manage. Do you know whether the theatrical version used apostrophes like that?
Unless that’s the case, I don’t want to change the subtitles given that they’re meant to emulate the theatrical. (Plus I’ve already laid down the absolute final reissue of my episode II edit and it’d conflict with it.)

Hey HAL,
Could you get this poor fella some of your download links for 1-3, 7-9 and Rouge One?
Many thanks beforehand!
Matt

I can’t find an English-language theatrical rip of TPM with seeders, but I just skimmed through one of AotC and that uses straight apostrophes like you have. It seems most likely the other two prequels would do likewise.
Between that, the reasons you’ve given above, and the fact that I seem to have been the first person bothered by this in all the years people have been enjoying your edits, please consider the request withdrawn.
All the best 😃
No worries; this sort of minutia is rewarding for its own sake.

I like the line, but the reading seems a little too high-pitched and doesn’t really match his cadence in the rest of the film.
The Star Wars Saga:
I · II · III · IV · V · VI · VII · VIII · IX | Rogue One · Solo
What was first just a dream has become a frightening reality…
