Mainstream pop music’s sucked since the late '80s/early '90s.

It was at its best from the '30s - mid '80s.

I wonder what the music of the 2030s will be like…

Are you serious?! I always thought Oxford commas were the CORRECT way to do it! God, that’s dumb.

The concept of a digital only console is one of the worst ideas that the modern gaming industry has done, and that’s saying something. Once the servers are shut down, the manufacturers turn every copy of that system into non-recyclable waste. This has already happened with the Ouya and PSP Go, and it’s going to become a massive problem further down the road.

As someone who spent three years without any internet access I agree.

TNG is overrated as is Gene Roddenberry’s vision.

“The Anarchists are right in everything; in the negation of the existing order and in the assertion that, without Authority there could not be worse violence than that of Authority under existing conditions. They are mistaken only in thinking that anarchy can be instituted by a violent revolution… There can be only one permanent revolution — a moral one: the regeneration of the inner man. How is this revolution to take place? Nobody knows how it will take place in humanity, but every man feels it clearly in himself. And yet in our world everybody thinks of changing humanity, and nobody thinks of changing himself.”

The Director’s Cut of Donnie Darko is the superior version.

Having seen both versions of the movie by now, I mostly agree. The Director’s Cut is much more of an immersive experience: while the theatrical version often feels like it’s rushing through the plot and character development as fast as possible, the Director’s Cut allows the nuances of the story to sink in much more. By the end, I got just as attached to the characters as Donnie did, which made his decision in the final scene incredibly impactful.

I only have two main gripes: the new music and the added time travel exposition. “The Killing Moon” and “Under the Milky Way” were much more impactful songs than the ones used as replacements in the Director’s Cut, and the book excerpts explained nothing that the flashback audio in the original cut didn’t convey perfectly well. If I could have a version with all of the deleted scenes added back in, but with the presentation of the theatrical cut mostly intact, that would be my ideal version of the film.

Yes it is. On that note Kill Bill Volumes 1 and 2 are Tarantino on autopilot, which is why I don’t like them, and Once Upon A Time in Hollywood is nothing but a three-hour long borefest.

Tarantino’s best film is his R-rated Star Trek film. And don’t tell me that it never got made; I don’t care.

Disney is missing out on millions of potential dollars by refusing to release a physical version of The Mandalorian. Their deliberate decision to make the show Disney+ exclusive is depriving people with poor internet access the ability to see the show. Even if Disney charges $45 a season, people will buy it so that they can watch Mandalorian offline, and truly own a legit copy.

I’m not even the biggest Mando fan and I 100% agree with this. Maybe when the series concludes it will be collected in one big boxset? Andor too.

Move along, move along.

They leave a lot of money on the table with pirated DVD and Blu-Ray in general. Including the Original Theatrical Star Wars trilogy they don’t care. The bootleg of season 7 for clone wars for example from Malaysia has made the pirates a lot because Disney wants people to subscribe to a monthly service. I’m sure The Mando fanedits being sold is bad too. I mean at least the 4K77 and 4K83 stuff seems to have been pulled off Ebay.

Chitty Chitty Bang Bang alternates between dreadfully tedious and painfully annoying. It’s a quite nice-looking film, though; that’s the only thing elevating this shitty film to mediocrity.

Marvel movies are awesome and each one is not only unique and different, but enjoyable by people with adult sensibilities. Star Wars has never been better than under Disney, with each film being better than the last. Disney themselves can’t stop innovating with groundbreaking features. American culture has never been so original or relevant!

I unironically appreciate your optimism

I’m just a simple man trying to make my way in the universe.

Star Wars has 3 eras: The eras are 1977-1983(pre Expanded Universe), (1983-2014) expanded universe, or (2014- now) Disney-bought version. Each are valid.

A piece of media, especially movies and TV Shows, should never be recommended purely by popularity or “hey this is so awesome go see it!”. Mainly because it just makes you feel like shit if you don’t like them, plus going in blind can really help make an honest opinion on the work.
