I remember those tiers. I found them absurd then and I still do now.
What would you do instead?
Am I the only one who likes the idea of a consistent Canon? Lol.
«No one is guilty of being born a slave. But the slave to whom not only aspirations for freedom are alien, but who justifies and paints his slavery in rosy colors, such a slave is a lackey and a brute who arouses a legitimate sense of indignation, disgust and repugnance.»

Leave individual creators/teams free to forge their own canons as they saw fit.
“The Anarchists are right in everything; in the negation of the existing order and in the assertion that, without Authority there could not be worse violence than that of Authority under existing conditions. They are mistaken only in thinking that anarchy can be instituted by a violent revolution… There can be only one permanent revolution — a moral one: the regeneration of the inner man. How is this revolution to take place? Nobody knows how it will take place in humanity, but every man feels it clearly in himself. And yet in our world everybody thinks of changing humanity, and nobody thinks of changing himself.”

I actually really enjoy the way the Mandalorians are depicted in The Clone Wars, and prefer that depiction over all others.
Lets look at it this way, you have an entire culture that has overcome its violent past and is trying to move forward and not stoop back down to that level. Perhaps the pacifism is too far of a pendulum swing, but I think it makes the situation for the Mandalorians very interesting. They are so much more than just warriors, its a living culture with so many other facets. We see their architecture, their art, their medicine, etc. You also have the Death Watch, a group of terrorists who embrace their warrior past as part of their heritage. They are nationalist, extremist zealots that seek to bring back the days of Mandalorian conquest and plundering. Its not something to aspire to and makes them just as bad as the Galactic Empire. I also like that there’s less individuality with them in terms of their armor. I know lots of people like the idea of the Mandos wearing an assortment of different colored armor, but I like the idea that they are more of a traditional army. I think the idea the Death Watch represent in the show is a nice one to have in Star Wars.
Move along, move along.
Satine Kryze’s New Mandalorians get a massive point deduction in my book for employing cubism as their art style of choice. I hate cubism with a passion.
I prefer Bo-Katan’s approach, always battle-ready, but not battle-seeking.
Obi-Wan is an overrated character

Obi-Wan is an overrated character
Honestly, yeah. He was my favorite character as a kid, but he’s kind of a jerk and a stick-in-the-mud in TPM and AotC, and then he lies to and manipulates Luke, of course. I still like him, overall, but the whole idolization of Obi-Wan among prequel fans on Reddit is really excessive.
Rewatching the TPM what bothers me the most about how Obi-Wan is written is that despite not yet being promoted to full Jedi Knight, he’s already one of the most observant, by-the-book members of the Jedi Order in contrast to Qui-Gon who is very much a maverick.
I sometimes wonder if Lucas got his papers mixed up because the characterizations should have been the other way around.

Well, in TPM’s first draft, Qui-Gon was a minor character and most of his lines/traits were originally Obi-Wan’s. Then Lucas decided Qui-Gon needed a promotion.

Sequel Trilogy is non-canon. It’s all a fever dream. ALL THE MADNESS.

Not unpopular.

Well, shit. Dug myself into a hole then.
Mandalorians wearing gender-specific helmets is a dumbshit addition to the lore. I know TCW is a kids show, but c’mon. . . .

Me and my dad still say “meesa” and “bombad” to each other, therefore Jar Jar was actually a good character. If he didn’t exist, we wouldn’t have that.
Reading R + L ≠ J theories
By that metric, Johnny from The Room is flawless.
Welp, you’ve actually convinced me 😃
You probably don’t recognize me because of the red arm.
Episode 9 Rewrite, The Starlight Project (Released!) and ANH Technicolor Project (Released!)
Hey, even if he didn’t mean to, Tommy Wiseau made an unforgettable classic

Doing a Sequel Trilogy with a Old Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher and Harrison Ford was always Doomed to Fail i dont think Lucas Sequels would have been better than Disney Sequels the Sequels Movies should only have been made when Mark, Carrie and Harrison were still Young Disney Sequels are just the Star Wars equivalent of Indiana Jones and the Crystal Skull
The Prequels werent necessary but im fine with the Original Lucas 3 Prequels Movies but i dont like how they want to keep expanding that Era with Shows like TCW the Story of the Fall of Anakin only serves to make Luke the True Hero i dont like how Lucas wanted to turn Star Wars into the Tragedy of Darth Vader also the Prequels Movies could have been much much better
I dont understand why some Fans cares about what is Canon in Star Wars that much Lucas is not Tolkien Lucas never had a Story planned originally he wanted Star Wars to be a Saga of 12 or 15 Movies he didnt plan for Vader to be Luke Father then when he made the Prequels he said that Star Wars now was the Story of Darth Vader later when Lucas wanted to do his Version of the Sequels now Star Wars was the Story of Vader and his descendants Lucas never created a detailed Worldbuilding as Tolkien did with the Silmarillion i dont think Lucas cares that much about Lore or what is Canon in his Universe as Tolkien if you strictly follow what Lucas considers Canon Boba Fett does not survive the Sarlacc Pit. the Empire was Destroyed in ROTJ and we will never know what happened to Luke, Han and Leia or the Rebels after ROTJ
I don’t like Qui-Gon. My problem isn’t so much with the character himself. Just the fact that he steals away character traits and importance that should have been given to Obi-Wan. Also, I think a lot of fans “oversell” him nowadays as being “the wisest Jedi.”

As I’ve posted a few times before, my biggest problem with Qui-Gon is that he acts the way a young eager Padawan would act, whilst Obi-Wan is very by-the-book and conservative despite being a novice. It’s like Lucas got the roles mixed up and went with it anyway.

To be honest, I actually like the idea of the master being more open-minded then the apprentice. It happened is some other movies as well, it’s not just a Star Wars thing. Besides, this makes things more compelling when it comes to Anakin’s fate.

I’ve noticed over the years on these forums many dislike the added scenes in TPM. I personally find nothing wrong with them and like them a lot.
If we don’t count the Sequels and spin-offs, then C3PO is the most annoying character. Yes, he’s even more annoying than Jar Jar in my opinion.

Both C3PO and Jar Jar say “How rude”. But it does not become a catch phrase.
UNPOPULAR OPINION
Every single added Darth Anybody, Sith Inquisitor, Sith Witch, Sith whatever – the Emperor excluded – made Darth Vader less and less unique during the decades.
Rogue One is redundant. Just play the first mission of DARK FORCES.

Don’t wholly disagree. That said, I’ll always defend the Imperial Inquisitor concept. Makes little sense that Vader would be the only Jedi to turn to the dark side and join the Empire.
