Well, it was certainly a product of its time. Pure 70s through and through.

Luke, actually the best part (when high) is the cooking scene and the cantina scene. Those two scenes are just so awful I can't help but laugh all the way through them. Then of course, Carrie Fisher singing always cracks me up. At least when I'm high. However, when I'm not high I can't stand to watch the thing. Even I have my limits.

i dont blame ya...
i'd have to be in a state like that to even attempt watching that again...

who knows Bossk...
the man made the same mistake with the PT trilogy..

I would love it if Lucas put the original Boba cartoon as an extra on the Clone Wars DVD. We know he hates the Holiday Special but that cartoon is interesting to me to see. Still there will never be a Holiday Special DVD release. George has stated that he would destroy every copy of that abombination if he could. He hates that movie. You can't accuse him of changing his mind since hes hated it since the beginning. Still I am intrested in seeing it since it is a Star Wars project that I haven't seen.

Hal, I'm not sure. The links have popped up in a few threads here. I think that if you go to the Theatrical vs SE forum it's in the thread about the 2004 DVD release. Most of the links don't work or they weren't working yesterday.

Has Gili hit TV screens yet??

Yeah, I'm sure the networks are just fighting tooth and nail for broadcast rights to that one.

Just one??

Yeah...one will pretty much do it for me. Anymore than that and the thing would put me to sleep.

Gili? Isn't that the Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez movie? I've heard that flick is just dreadful. I've actually been wanting to see it just because it's supposed to be just awful.

Does anyone remember the movie Moment By Moment with John Travolta and Lilly Tomlin? There's another stinker.

Yeah, Gigli is the one with Bennifer. And, yes, it's supposed to be horrid. No desire whatsoever to see it myself. Even if just to say I did. The only time I wanted to actually see it was during the last week of its showing on the big screen when some radio station was offering free admission and a T-shirt that read "I sat through Gigli" to anyone who was willing to dare it. I would've done it then, but the station was, I think, somewhere in New England and I'm in Chicago. A bit far to travel for a T-shirt.

Bossk. Bummer. One of those shirts would have been kind of cool to have. I live in California so it would have been too far to travel for me as well. I kind of have an affinity for bad movies. There's just someting about a movie that takes itself so serioulsy when everyone involved has to see that it's just a turkey. Heaven's Gate is another classic Hollywood stinker. Cost millions to make and just went no where. They tried re-editing the thing something like three times and still couldn't come up with a good movie. Guess we'll never see that one on DVD anytime soon.

Ive seen Gigli. It is horrible. I was honestly laughing my ass off at scenes that are suppose to be serious. I didn't see all of it I couldn't stand it.

I'm surprised!! I would have thought you would have called it a piece of Classic American Cinema.

But seriously, I was tempted to go to The Day After Tomorrow so I could do that very thing...laugh at the "serious" parts.

Funny thing is for being that bad it gets more publisity then most average movies.

That is pretty ironic, isn't it? Sad, too.

Yeah, sad but true.

So Luke, I take it that the Day After Tomorrow was pretty bad. I'm sorry I missed it. I haven't seen a good old fashioned disaster film in a long time. I have yet to see a good disaster film. All of them have in one way or another been just terrible. I guess it's just part of the genre.

Just to stay off topic:
My opinion of the worst movie ever made:
Waterworld

Why:
Gigli was made for...what, 40 million, and made maybe half that. It was such a bad movie, but it didn't cost that much.
Waterworld cost 300 million, and I dare say it made less than 50 million.
