Hey, can i get a link to the new drive?
Hmm, an updated version I hear? I wonder which version I have… 🤔
Now one thing I would love is if Sam Witwer could recite Maul’s lines in this film. Only a pipe-dream though. 😂

Hey Hal9000, in a search looking for the best fanedits, your name seems to rise to the top. I would love to not show my daughter my current blu-rays, but a version she might love as much as the original trilogy. I’d love a link to your hard work, it sounds like you saved these films. Cheers!

Shit, I noticed there’s an unfortunate audio error. During the little added snippet in which Sebulba used his vents on Anakin, the center sounds come out of the right side.
I’ll have to do an audio-only fix and reupload. Mercifully it’s just the audio stream that’ll need changing.
While you’re at it, I remember this was pointed out as a slight audio improvement to be made during the battle, and the work is already done:
Made a small audio change with duel of the fates, right when the Droidekas appear there was a weird transition due to the lack of Anakin scenes that stuck out to me, just spliced in the actual track and it sounds a lot nicer. It’s pretty amazing that you cut so much and only like 3 audio cuts were noticeable.

It really does improve the audio editing here (a slight improvement but a very nice one).
So long 🙌
Thank you for reminding me!
Hey Hal, any chance I could get a link to the drive please?

The audio error has been fixed, as well as improving that one audio transition near when Maul appears in the hangar, and is being reuploaded presently.
Hi Hal 9000, I’d love a link to see your edit of this movie. I really like the idea of it being more faithful to the spirit of the original trilogy!

Hal 9000, I would love to see your edit of the prequel trilogy! Thanks!

Greetings Hal 9000!
Can you send me a link for your Episode 1 edit? I was able to download 2 and 3 from FanEdit.info, but there wasn’t a link for 1. I like what I’ve read about your changes and your reasoning – very excited to watch these.
Thanks for your hard work in making the galaxy far, far away a better place!
Kevin
PM sent. Make sure you have the latest versions; Fanedit.info seems to be rarely updated and I have no idea what version they have at this point.
What method was used for your application of film grain? Did you use a 35mm overlay template, or just very light grain/noise added through built in editing software tools? If the former, would be curious to see if you remember which one you used (Lots of people try to sell them, but not interested in that)
It’s was a overlay set to “soft light” setting. I don’t remember who sent it to me or where it came from, as that was about seven years ago!

Ah, okay! But that’s all I need to know as it turned out pretty good in your edit. Just apply a light overlay in the right setting, no need to mess around with anything else.
Yeah, I guess so!
I gave it the soft light setting and decreased the opacity until it looked right. I’d suggest exporting a master clip to gauge its appearance as the in-application viewer may not be a true representation of how visible it’ll be.
I don’t have Final Cut Pro, and I don’t have the Film Grain effect. Could applying a super light filter of video noise be a good secondary option to fix the look of the 2011 Blu-ray?
