Finished my first version 1.0 of the European’s cut version of Sorcerer a hell of a job to try to cut and also reassemble scenes with the blu-ray version
it’s not the final version two scenes I don’t know where it is located (flash- back scenes) and impossible to find a source, I guess where they should be and make a minimum sense
I want to make my work available but I don’t know if I can put a link here?

I doubt it unfortunately - the German rip is very compressed and low-res, the handful of instances where I’ve used the odd second or handful of frames from it (where there were splices in the print) stand out like a sore thumb already. Plus there’s more damage in the 35mm print that is evidenced in the framegrabs, but it’s still the best copy available by some distance. I might upload my sources (except of course for the Sorcerer Blu-Ray) to the spleen for anyone who wants to build on/improve my work, as this is as good as it gets from me.

I just got the old dvd release of sorcerer and noticed it looked vertically stretched… So I changed the aspect to 16:9 in VLC and it looks reasonably better horizontally stretched and filling the screen.
Any after watching it this way the other night I started thinking about the flashbacks of the characters baclstories in wages of fear but putting them all in the village before the terrorist attack and the opening credits. To me it feels like this was perhaps the way it was meant to play out.

Anyway this seemed natural placement rather than the wages of fear botch job…Obviously inserting full or mostly full versions of the flash backs would be the premise for that idea…

Just wondering what the current state of play is with all the colour correction/restoration projects. I would really, really, really love to be able to see the German TV edit (in any state) and any finished restorations you have. Either the full film or just individual scenes, which I can slip into my existing copy. PM me!
