I already read that article, and it’s a good explanation of how easy it would be to restore Star Wars to a professional level. But I disagree with some of the choices you made on what an “ideal” Blu-ray box set would look like. There are just too many audio options for the original movies, and it feels like it caters too much to purists. In my opinion, something like this would be the best option for appealing to a wide audience:
Disc One: Original Version
5.1 Dolby surround
Original 2.0 stereo
Audio commentary from 1993 laserdisc
Disc Two: Special Edition (1997 version)
5.1 Dolby Digital
Disc Three: Final Cut (2019 version)
Dolby Atmos
Audio commentary from 2004 DVD
If you want a bit more purism, you can include the mono mix of ANH, but I never really liked that version anyway.
