Really wish Adywan would add this line back in. The Sith aren’t mentioned till the prequels, so itd be nice to hear of the Sith (and more of the Emperor) in ANH

Holy shit, this line is amazing, I definitely want to add it to my edit.

There you go everyone, absolute proof that Darth Vader is and always was a Sith and the Sith always existed in Star Wars.

Well sure, the term appears as early as the May, 1974 rough draft.

I’m all in for retconning the term “Sith” in the OT. I always wondered why they aren’t mentioned or named in the original trilogy, knowing the Sith Order was present in the early drafts.

And besides, despite we all thought the sequels would ignore the “Sith” denomination (because of its prominence in the prequel era), then TROS arrived and mentioned the Sith more than any other film. So it stands out a bit that the Sith aren’t named for the whole middle chapter of the Skywalker saga.

Part of me wishes some of the deleted scenes were cleaned up and worked into the movies. I know the movie would have to be recut due to pacing, but some of the scenes were cool. Like Luke making his green saber.

I second this.

Seeing how well done your prequel edits are, have you considered doing your own OT revisited edits?

Na, Ady is doing more than i could do. Han in Carbonite, Hoth hangar models, Dagobah model, etc. He’s filmed people on set for shots on Hoth or Bwing fighters. 3d printing models to spec or gear like helmets. Just to name a few. He still inspires me in many ways and would love to see him take on the prequels to see what he would do.

How about the ST?
😉

One thing I’ve never seen fixed… When the Tantive is damaged and being dragged into the Devastator hanger we hear a physical scraping which I think is meant to be the docking claw. The actors react to it but then the next FX shot has the ship still being pulled into the hanger. It would be good if an FX shot was timed to those reactions showing the docking claw grasping the ship and maybe a hint of the boarding crew moving towards cutting through the door which happens almost immediately after. Or maybe just changing the sound to something electrical to suggest the tractor beam has them rather than a physical scraping sound.

What about the lightspeed jump? In ROTJ, when ever a ship jumps to lightspeed, the shot stays neutral and up-right, no twirl. While in ANH, and ESB, there is a spiral when jumping to lightspeed. Honestly, that shot of the Falcon jumping to lightspeed stable and not spiraling is one of my most liked changes in ANH:R (SD).

I believe I recall Ady saying years ago that he was going to keep the spin. It’s a big dramatic moment.

What about the audio track? When I would re-watched ANH:R (SD), I’ve discovered that, the audio isn’t really as normal, like from the Blu-Ray Release… Like, the pitch is set a little low from normal.

The question is though, will Ady plan to use a slight fusion in-between, 4K77’s “2.0 DTS-HD-MA (1977 35mm stero mix 2018)" / “2.0 Dolby Digital (1977 35mm stero mix Dolby A)", and some aspects from the Blu-Ray Release? Like the sound effects, (i.e, Turbolasers, or James Earl Jones’s voice-over for Darth Vader)?

4. Get volunteers to add dialogue for the expanded battle sequence (if it remains).

I offered (via Facebook) to attempt to extract sound files from “SW: Rogue Squadron II” a while ago, a gamecube game for which Denis Lawson (Wedge) recorded new lines. And obviously, there are other usable lines in these games as well. Never received an answer from Ady though, so I never started work. Could have failed, could have succeeded, who knows…

But I am with you, that sequence is great but lacks dogfighting dialog, no matter how nonsensical.

For seventeen years the renegade Pfhor scoutship jumped between the closely packed stars of the galactic core. And all over the ship, dancing through the wreckage of the Pfhor computer core, Durandal was laughing…

Is there anywhere I can find the first 13 minutes of the HD version that was posted a few months back but got taken down? Did anybody happen to download it or anything? I really want to see it.

Will the Imperial March be retained for the HD version? It’s one of my favorite changes of ANH:R.

I don’t know what other music you could even use for the Death Star reveal. Besides, isn’t the Imperial March used in Rogue One anyway?

I know that R1 used a new version of the original Death Star reveal cue, I could use more of that in ANHR.

Seriously give it a go… The actual sound effects are available but the dialogue is not. There is also a good impersonation of Bobba Fett original voice. Would be great to extract the dialogue from this if you can.
