I think it’s a great scene but it seems weird that an out of focus kylo would move to centre frame. Is there any way just to keep him on the left with a slight movement?

Not really. The different elements kind of blur together, it looks like something constructed in After Effects rather than created by professional VFX artists. I would leave that shot out of the edit.

I was going to say the same thing, that the flight path is perhaps a little too staright.
Maybe it should go to light speed sooner, or were you trying to extend the shot?

Ditto what everyone else said. Also the musical timing feels off. The big orchestral swell should happen right before the wipe. As it is, the silence as the ship jumps away feels awkward.

Ochi’s ship is not a model in this case, it’s actually the footage of it from Rey’s visions. This makes it harder to change the flight path, though maybe adjusting the smoke path (which is added) can help. I can also add some rotational motion at the very least to the ship.
Kylo moves so much, because if you look at the ground, the camera is moving left. If Kylo was really in the foreground, and the camera moving so laterally, Kylo should actually be moving a lot. Nevertheless, I could try to reduce it.

Have you thought about adding a single ground frame to reduce the movement of the camera? I’m only viewing on my phone but it just looks like the rocks on the right that give it the faster pace. If is was all sand maybe it wouldn’t need so much tracking with kylo? If that makes sense.

Yeah, it was tricky af but if you cut just after Poe looks at Finn, cut to his lifting the gun, cut back to Finn and Poe looking forward it works pretty well. I’ve also removed “I’m the spy” and Finn saying “no you did Not!”
I can try and upload a 480p clip if it helps but it may take a while?

Dude, these are great! What font is that for the TROS logo? I may have to steal it for the final version of my vanilla BR cover set, since I still haven’t found a “classic” TROS logo I really like.
Ok, I had some spare time and came up with a ROUGH idea on what to do.
The biggest issue I had was cutting out Rey and Fin’s quick conversation. People’s positions change during that and we are then cut with Poe leading the way with C3PO and the rest of them in different spots. It seemed to “choppy” to go from Poe and Rey holding up their “lights” and then cut to the scene they are walking. I needed a buffer, or a way to express some time passed to “explain” their different “line up.”
It hit me. “Wait, after they get out of the “Snake Cave of Dreams” don’t we get the spinning Knights of Ren scene AND another establishing shot right after that!?” And we do!
So you will see that I moved the “Spinning Knights” to make that buffer. Take a look!
Again, it is ROUGH and no changes to music/sounds/etc. Just a rough draft. I also placed a still image of the Rebel base dialogue for a few seconds instead of uploading the whole scene to save time and Vimeo space.

My concern is adding all of these new blasting into hyperspace while in atmosphere shots. The Falcon does it at the end of the film and now Ochi’s ship will too? Atmospheric use of hyperdrives is something that has started to slip into new canon but it still feels wrong and certainly not something that should be overused.

Anyone already have any good metal clink sounds? Right now Poe’s flashlight makes no sound as he tosses and catches it since I’m trying to keep the full shot while removing the beginning of the conversation at the end.

Fair. I think if the idea is to telegraph some time gone by, showing them begin to head in a direction makes sense. It’s not terrible for his flashlight not to make a sound.
