Yoda lifting the X-Wing from the swamp in Empire was just mindblowing as a kid; I must have worn out the tape constantly rewinding it and trying to figure out how they did it all. And still magical watching it back now.

Yoda’s lesson in Empire. The way the music swells when he says “You must feel the Force around you” is peak Star Wars for me. A close second is Han and Leia’s “scoundrel” kiss. More romance in 3 seconds than in the entirety of Attack of the Clones.

I firmly believe that this scene is the soul of Star Wars. Fitting that it sits now directly in the middle of the middle film of the middle trilogy.

You probably don’t recognize me because of the red arm.

Agreed. I think it’s at that point when many people realize there was something special about the films. It’s why these movies have so many lifelong fans.

I like when Luke throws away his lightsaber in Return of the Jedi and refuses to submit to Palpatine. Willing to die for his convictions that a spark of Anakin Skywalker still remains. He says my favorite line in the entire Saga. Never. I’ll never turn to the dark side. You’ve failed your highness, i am a Jedi like my father before me.

Darth Vader’s Redemption from Return of the Jedi. While ROTJ is my third favorite Star Wars movie (behind Empire Strikes Back and Revenge of the Sith), this is my favorite singular scene. Everything on the second Death Star in this film is great, but this scene is especially perfect. The acting is phenomenal, the effects are excellent, and the music is riveting. Even though he’s wearing a mask, you can see the conflict within Vader, thanks to the brilliant camera work and David Prowse’s performance. You know exactly what he’s thinking. Mark Hamil’s performance is also great. Remember, the lightning was added in post, so on set he had to act like he was being electrocuted and it’s so convincing. The way he begs his father to help him is heart wrenching. Ian McDiarmid nails being a threatening, heartless villain who enjoys torturing Luke. When Anakin finally returns and picks up the Emperor, it’s so epic and triumphant. And finally, the bit at the end when Luke crawls over to his father to comfort him is touching. Very powerful scene. No matter how many times I watch it, it’s always just as poignant.

I like the scene in Star Wars where Ben makes his first appearance to Luke. The whole part of Obi Wan Kenobi, Obi Wan now that’s a name i haven’t heard in a long time. I also like the Original non Special Edition Death Star Trench Run, and the Throne room scene.

Everybody has the choice of being a hero or not being a hero every day of their lives.” - George Lucas

ROTS: Emperor’s revenge against Windu.
SW: Vader’s fight with Obi Wan.
ESB: Vader chamber scene or the reveal scene.
ROTJ: Emperor scenes and Vader’s death scene.
RO: Vader scenes.
Honourable mentions: Vader vs Ashoka from Rebels and Maul vs Obi Wan rematch. TCW various Palpatine episodes. Clone marching scene from AOTC. Maul vs Qui Gon from TPM.

I also like these scenes but the fight between Ashoka and Maul is one of my favourites. Bolba Fett also has some great scenes.

I’m just a simple man trying to make my way in the universe.

Star Wars has 3 eras: The eras are 1977-1983(pre Expanded Universe), (1983-2014) expanded universe, or (2014- now) Disney-bought version. Each are valid.
