I mean, that’d be tricky, since we first learned he was coming back as early as April 2019, and we were getting what later became confirmed leaks after that about his role (and Rey’s).

They also didn’t release any deleted scenes immediately with TFA, did they? They released them with a later 3D release.

The other weird thing is like, we know that it’s not that they don’t want us to SEE the deleted scenes, because several of them are present in the two novelizations and the comic adaption.

TFA’s initial BluRay release had the deleted scenes. I think they saw us having fun and so they decided to install barbed wire fences. (Not really but probably more to do with public image.)

RogueLeader, I like that idea. I think the emotional swell needs to happen as or shortly after Rey recognizes Chewie and needs to have ended before 3PO wakes up.

My stance on revising fan edits.

I think the third version bleeds too much into Threepio’s dialogue, but the second version really works for me.

I don’t suppose there’s any way we could inject some mysticism and cosmology into this film? I feel it’s the biggest omission to be rooted in the film’s position as the final chapter. I wish we could get Mortis, the Whills, the World Between Worlds, or something, but I can’t think of any way it’d be possible.

Also, which track are you using for “Chewie’s theme”?

I think the track is “Train Heist”, I believe it is the music from the campfire conversation the night before the heist.

Since the Dyad is mentioned maybe it could tie into that. I think it would be interesting if the Dyad was somehow related to Mortis. Like the Dyad, Ben and Rey, have taken the place of the Son and Daughter.

EDIT: Also, I’ll make an updated version taking all of your comments into account!

Since we’re re-scoring the film, what do you guys think of using tracks from games like KOTOR, STOR and Shadows of the Empire (an absolute masterpiece of a soundtrack).

I’m pretty much against using any non-Williams music unless it fits like a glove. Something from Shadow of the Empire could maybe work depending on context because it’s fully orchestrated and fits Williams’s style. KOTOR doesn’t fit the style of a Star Wars movie score imo.

Well, what I’d like to see is a version of the Hayden ghost in ROTJ that looks more content and proud of Luke and less…creepy. Just more appropriate to the moment than the take George chose.

And I’d be curious to see what it would look like with the aging-up you’ve given him for TROS.
