Can anyone link me to the mega?
This is very not finished.
Sorry, I just meant the standard version of revisited. If anyone has the mega with an MKV

It’s not in MKV Format, it’s in ISO (There-for, it’s laid-out as a DISC). If you head to the STAR WARS: Revisited WordPress, there will be information that can help you out.
In order to download properly, it would need multiple downloads (That would make up the whole DVD). Just in-case this works, I would suggest using FreeRapid, (Provided by Harmy). Head over to his topic of “STAR WARS: Despecialized” in order to get this tool. (If FreeRapid doesn’t work, then you could follow the instructions laid-out in the WordPress of Revisited).
One more thing. In order to play ISO files (If Using a PC), I would recommend using the VLC: Media Player.
You um, might want to edit your post to delete those links to ANH:R, it’s against forum policy. (I know you meant well I just don’t want you to get into trouble).

Will the link to the WordPress do?
Since ANH:R (SD) also had a “Purist Edition,” I had the idea of thinking of ideas for ANH:R (HD) “Legacy Edition”
( ANH:R (HD) “Legacy Edition,” is a idea of creating a version of ANH:R (HD) with some elements from ANH:R (SD), mixed in with ideas/elements used for ESB:R )
I won’t post any ideas unless if it’s alright.
( Adywan, if you’re seeing this post, I will wait to put my opinions/ideas out there, and I can wait, for a more appropriate time to do so. Especially since, everything that has happened…)

I have ISO file already, but if I wanted to watch it on something larger than my computer an MKV would be easier to just pop it onto a USB and play it through there. I assumed it would exist since i have the MKV version of ESB:R.
An MKV version does exist, but Adywan didn’t make it, and it’s just the ISO remuxed into an MKV. Since you already have the ISO, just use MakeMKV to remux the video into an MKV and you’ll have the exact same thing.

From my previous post, what do you think of the idea? Should it become a possibility?
Adywan has said in the past that there will only be one version each of ANH:R:HD and ROTJ:R.

It was just an idea, no harm. Plus, I didn’t want to add more pressure to Adywan, still hope that he’ll be ok…
ANH:R (HD) ‘Legacy Edition’ Ideas
=======================================================================================================
• Similar or Same Color Corrections as
used in ANH:R (SD). (Maybe, inspired by ROTS)
• Create the Death Star’s Tunnel for the
laser, to look like what we see
in Rouge One.
• Utilize the ‘Original 1977’ Yavin scenery
shot, where the X-Wings and Y-Wings depart
to commence their attack, onto the Death
Star.
• Re-use shots for the ‘Original 1977’ Creatures
and Monsters in the Mos Eisley Cantina.
(E.I, the Wolf-Man)?
• Same styling to the rotoscoping of the Lightsabers.
(Look from ANH:R “SD”)?
• Similar lay-out of scenes as to ANH:R (SD). But,
to have some additions from ESB:R, (E.I, 3D Models
for the X-Wings, Y-Wings, Falcon, TIE Fighters,
Star Destroyers, Death Star, and some of the planets).
• Revive the ‘Original’ Alderaan Destruction look from
ANH:R (SD)?
• 720p (liked used in ESB:R), instead of the 480p from ANH:R (SD).
• Engine glows from the X-Wings and Y-Wings could remain glowing
pink, (but, could decide otherwise, it’s up to Adywan).
• Original Death Star Explosion from ANH:R (SD)?
• Revive the ‘Original’ Scene where the two Star Destroyers attempt to intercept the Falcon from the left, (instead of from the back.).
• Implement the the smooth adjustments to the jump-cuts (if possible), from the current ANH:R (HD).
Hey, I have a question.
I’ve rewatched ANH:R (SD) in it’s PAL Format, during the Battle of Yavin. After finishing watching, I’m not quite sure whether to stick with the PAL Format or, go back to the NTSC Format.
( Considering, I live in the United States )
Is there minor to major differences between them? If so, could you list them?

PAL may have fewer frames per second, but it also has more lines than NTSC. PAL television broadcasts have 625 lines of resolution, compared to NTSC’s 525. More lines means more visual information, which equals better picture quality and resolution.
PAL televisions produce 25 frames per second that causes motion to be displayed faster.
Edit- Long and short, Pal is mostly better.

The speedup & pitch increase instantly kill all benefits of PAL for me.
There is an MKV someone made using the 720x576 PAL video from the PAL DVD9, but with the framerate flag reset to 23.976 and the Dolby 5.1 audio from the NTSC DVD9 paired with it. That’s the ideal version of ANH:R at the moment unless you need a disc/menus. It’s available on MySpleen if you have an account (note to all: don’t ask for invites, the site is closed and likely won’t ever reopen).

When converting from Pal to Ntsc i could see that. Do they film in 25 frames per sec in Europe? Cause filming at 25 frames a sec is different than converting from 23.what evs to 25, which would cause a speed up. Hobbit was filmed at 60 frames per sec with the only effect being the reds were washed out and had to be artificially pumped up on set with overly vibrant reds and make up

Did people who grew up with movies in PAL feel like they were slowed down when switching to HD.
I grew up with the similarly sped up CED of Star Wars, and I recall it being subconsciously weird when I got the Faces set as a teenager.

This is pretty amusing given that you’re now the “The Originals must be The Originals!” guy.

You’re lucky I’m not going to push for “time compressed” as a required option on the official release!

Interesting — I grew up with PAL and I don’t notice any difference in speed. I would have thought that the difference in audio pitch would be more noticeable, but I’ve never noticed it either.

Do rock bands in Europe and the Uk tune to 440 or 444hz? I know some symphonies in Europe still use the 444hz or varients like the Baroque tuning. Its a subtle thing but one American band that uses a slight tuning twist is The Red Hot Chili Peppers on Scartissue.

Not movies. Theatrical movies are 24fps across the board. Until Blu-Ray, there was no way to watch a theatrical film (or a TV series/TV movie from an NTSC country) at its correct framerate on a PAL home video format. Some movies did pitch correct their releases, but the people still move 4% faster which has a subtly unnatural effect, at least to me.
But Blu-Ray/ATSC now allows for 24p in PAL countries, so 90% of Euro BR releases of films are at the correct framerate.
Shamefully, they did not allow for 25p, so that’s why most Euro TV material on Blu is 1080i, because the only way to avoid changing the framerate is to just run 25p as 50Hz interlaced. The Doctor Who S1-4 Blu-Rays are actually slowed down from 25fps to 24fps so they could make it 1080p (can’t remember if they pitch-corrected for the slowdown, I don’t own the Blu’s of those).

Of course, but we were discussing which release of a 24fps film to get, so the speed up is important to consider.

No, The Hobbit was filmed at 48fps, and all home video releases just remove half the frames and run it at 24fps, which doesn’t result in any speedup or slowdown. I don’t know what they did for 50Hz PAL DVD releases, but I’d assume they just sped up the 24fps master to 25fps.

Awww, my bad on the Hobbit misquote. I knew it was a higher frame rate but could’ve swore it was higher than that. All in all good to know though and very interesting, thank you

May the the (4th) force be with you all especially you Ady. It ,may be a bit cheesy but I’d say that cheesy is exactly what we all need right now.
For anyone else on the forum, what do you think of my idea of ( ANH:R (HD) “Legacy Edition” )? I’m a little curious on the opinions…
