Tank of Kit Fistos. They’d probably be quite happy in there, given he’s aquatic.

After thinking about it, I think you could keep the gist of the conference scene with questioning what the Sith Eternal might want in return, but removing the knockoff Motti moment by just removing two lines.

“These allies on Exegol. They sound like a cult. Conjurers and soothsayers.

They conjured legions of star destroyers. The Sith fleet will increase our resources…”

The camera cuts between the two lines, and there’s no music, so the transition should be seamless.

It’s a retread of “Your sad devotion to that ancient religion”. It may be light, but I’m still reeling in PTSD from how derivative TFA, and Abrams did this film too, so I’m cutting it.

Seems like a stretch. Also why would that even matter if so.

I actually agree with AniStar on this one. I don’t like how the scene feels like a rehash of the conference room scene in SW77, and removing those lines does help cushion that.

Plus, the terms “conjuror” and “soothsayer” rub me the wrong way in SW for some reason. Though it’s entirely possible that’s just the actor’s delivery.

No fucking way… 😄 I was seriously already working on doing that exact same thing after I saw a Carrie Fisher interview where she said that if Leia had a lightsaber, it should be purple. I would love to see the finished result! 😃

Very cool! But how would that look in the final battle against Palpatine?

That’s really great! It’s also one of those things that makes me wonder how they didn’t do that in the first place. Purple saber, rare in Star Wars, looks awesome, and the idea of Carrie Fisher herself? It’s a slam dunk.

It’s very cool!

One thing I wonder though, since Rey’s saber is yellow at the end, whether it might be more fitting to have Leia’s be yellow as well. It would be an illustration of Rey carrying on Leia’s legacy even if we lose the ‘Rey Skywalker’ moment, and actually might be more powerful as just the color callback than anything she could say.

You probably don’t recognize me because of the red arm.

I think that might be just a little bit confusing. i’m thinking of people’s moms.

Actually, my mom has been a hypothetical audience member that I have kept in mind as I’ve done my edits.

My stance on revising fan edits.

This totally needs to happen in a fan edit. Love it! Plus I always wanted a little contrast between the sabers Rey uses together in the end of the film. Two blue sabers together was kind of bland in my opinion. Also it is good to see someone else with a purple saber beyond Mace.

I think the emotional connection is a strong argument for that, and plus you’d actually get to see a yellow saber in action a little. I feel like if they made a better connection to the yellow saber and the rising yellow sun, it would make a better connection to: yellow, yellow sun, hope is like the sun, rays of light, Rey.

I do have a few reasons why I like purple. The biggest reason, Carrie seemed she might’ve picked purple if she had a choice, and if Sam Jackson got to pick I think the Princess certainly should’ve. Also, by having her saber be purple, you’d get every lightsaber color seen in film all appear in the final movie.

Another, more “out there“ reason I like it is that the purple-almost pink, hue of the saber, when paired with the blue Skywalker saber in the climax of the film, could be symbolic of the anima and animus coming together, represented by Rey and Ben. Lucas was really into Campbell and Jung, and the dark side is basically symbolic of the Shadow, so I think it might be interesting to lean into that symbolism of the merging of the masculine and feminine.

But once the effects are applied, it shouldn’t be too complicated to play with the colors and also see how yellow looks in motion.

I mean you could always make Rey’s saber purple. Part of me likes the idea that it’s the midway point between blue and red, but also thematically there isn’t really anything in the movie to set that up. Also the fact that Mace has a purple saber obscures that idea.

I really like the magenta color saber in Fallen Order:

It kinda reminds me of Gundam, which is a thing I’m not too familiar with but enjoyed as a kid simply because they had lightsabers haha.

I read a theory I really like that suggests color distinguishes alignment -
Red: Extremist dark side user (ex: Maul)
Orange: Dark side user with a significant light side pull
Yellow: True balance (ex: Rey)
Green: Roguish light side user (ex: Qui-Gon)
Blue: Traditional light side user (ex: Obi-Wan)
Purple: Extremist light side user (ex: Windu)

Now that I think about it, I probably found it here. Forget where it’s from lol.

Hmm… thinks of future potential edits of Kylo having an orange lightsaber

The unfortunate reality of the Star Wars prequel and Disney trilogies is that they will always be around. Forever. They will never go away. It can never be undone.

I also prefer to be referred to as “TNT”, not “Freezing”.
