I appreciate it, but 3PO makes enough subtle head movements during those lines that I doubt it’d be worth the effort and seem like something was removed.
Unrelated: One thing I would certainly like to see is the single shot onboard the destroyer that blasts Kijimi altered to depict the crew as First Order. At minimum replace their insignia, but anything else would help. I can’t remember if their hats don’t match what we see of the First Order officers. The helmeted people are unique, and while that can be fine, it’d be even better if their helmets could be replaced with those we see at the start of TLJ worn by those working the main guns targeting the Raddus (the big black helmets that cover their whole head).

What about slowing down Rey and Kylo’s visions in the first act. I feel like they flashed too fast to tell what was going on, like I didn’t realize we actually saw shots of Rey on the Sith throne until someone pointed it out.

While I am all for this idea Hal, it hardly seems possible unless we were to replace the entire shot inside the destroyer with an already existing shot taken from TFA or TLJ.
As you can see here the uniform is entirely unique as well as the stormtroopers who are all Sith troopers:

In my edit the entire concept of a fleet of literally thousands of planet killing superweapons is removed… I’m not 100% sure what kind of approach you will be taking on the matter as I hadn’t seen this mentioned on your cutlist.
What do you have in mind for your project about the Sith fleet?

What do you have in mind for your project about the Sith fleet?
Not fully thought out yet but basically every reference to planet killing is cut out.
The major instances of this are:
Palpatine telling Pryde to “Destroy a world they know”
Kijimi’s destruction
Poe reacting to Kijimi’s destruction
The line “Every cannon we knock out is a world saved”
Keep in mind that by removing Kijimi blowing up it prevents Zorii’s survival at the end of the film becoming a complete WTF moment.

Maybe the star destroyer kamikaze from that shot could be reused with a Coruscant matte, if one wanted to keep the ending montage. Then, you would have one PT planet (Coruscant), one OT planet (Bespin), and one ST planet (Jakku).
(im basing this off the fact that i along with most people i know watch the De-specialized editions) Would there be a way to re-purpose the ending celebration from the Special Edition of EP 6 and use it in this context along with EP 9s celebration? you could also matte the Star Destroyer over Coruscant during the celebration as well. I feel like it could be pulled off with maybe a music change and color correction and would serve as a really good tie in from the PT and OT.
Apparently in the book we start with Rey an Leia in Ajan Kloss. Leia training her with flashbacks of the time she trained with Luke.
After Rey finishes de training course she gets a vision of what Kylo is doing, the Mustafar stuff and flashes of the throne.
I like how this could look.
-Rey starts seeing this, we cut to Kylo killing people on Mustafar.
-Her reaction, cut to more visions of the throne
-Back to Rey trying to get back to herself and the BB8 stuff with the fallen tree.
End of the scene and then we cut to the aftermath of Kylo’s massacre.

I’m listening to the book. It says that place was one of the few where life could grow. So it could be asumed the rest of the planet still looks like before.
You can always use it as Kylo’s training in TLJ.

I would say that the transition to the battle was already abrupt. I was thinking that this would help alleviate that to a certain extent since the camera is already focusing on Kylo. Maybe some sound effects could help with the transition.
