Her first lightsaber was purple, not pink.
Also, most of the time (post ROTJ) she used Luke/Anakin’s blue lightsaber anyway.

That in Tales of the Jedi: Golden Age of the Sith, the Jedi use corded lightsabers and the Sith don’t use lightsabers at all. Before Golden Age, it was implied that lightsabers hadn’t changed since before the formation of the Sith (it was later made clear both sides did in fact already have modern lightsabers at the time).
That the formation of the Sith was moved from 25,000 years before the movies to 7000 years before the movies. Sith characters in Golden Age of the Sith think that the existence of the Republic is “just a myth”, a bunch of lore had been written and characters created with 25,000 years in mind, and Golden Age refers to the formation of the Sith as the “First Great Schism”.

That’s one of the things I LOVE about the EU.
That Bodo Baas and Vima Da-Boda didn’t show up in anything published after Dark Empire.

Vima had a bit part in Crimson Empire III.

This led to attempts to justify inconsistencies in cases where unreliable narrators would have been a better explanation.
That in Darth Bane: Path of Destruction, Bane causes the very thing that his character revolves around preventing: the extinction of the Sith through infighting.
The Brotherhood of Darkness needed to be purged because they followed Lord Kaan and his asinine beliefs of equality among the Sith. So Bane destroyed them so he could rebuild the Sith Order under The Rule of Two
Lord Haseo. Your sad devotion to that ancient canon hasn’t helped you predict VIII or given you clairvoyance enough to predict IX.
Bullshit. I’ll castrate myself with a butterknife if Snoke isn’t Plagueis. I’m that damn sure.
I know you’re banned but you better get on that man. You’re already three months late.
Not enough people read the EU.

How do you know he didn’t whip that butter knife out and get right down to work in the theatre?

I would’ve felt it in the Force.

Not if he’s a Yuuzhan Vong with a pet ysalamir.
I just saw an upload of the most recent Marvel Star Wars comic on youtube , takes place right after Empire and the whole thing strains credibility…no way they would go back there so soon and the ending of the issue , all I can say is ," Are you fucking kidding me ?"
That used to be my reaction to 60+% of the inane fanficy junk the EU dished out. Then the corresponding area of my brain burnt out.
^ ah , c’mon man , you know the Crystal Star was a masterpiece ! 😃
Downvote? When did we become youtube?
Or Reddit, too?
The unfortunate reality of the Star Wars prequel and Disney trilogies is that they will always be around. Forever. They will never go away. It can never be undone.
I also prefer to be referred to as “TNT”, not “Freezing”.
In both canons, the absence of the Empire’s civilian government in stories set after ROTJ. Assassinating a head of state doesn’t cause the civilian government to spontaneously be replaced by a military junta.

Well, Palpatine got rid of the imperial senate during the events of ANH and gave power to all of the Moffs (regional governors), who were the ones who started fighting each other after ROTJ.
That’s what happened in Legends anyway, I have no clue how they’re currently explaning it. Also, didn’t the X-Wing books deal a lot with Coruscant politics?

Yes, but the post-Endor EU stories consists of so much more than just Thrawn.
Many of the feuding warlords, like f.ex. Ardus Kaine, were Moffs. Also, the term “warlord” in Legends was basically a military/governor combination, presumably so that it would make sense continuity-wise while also justifying the antagonists to be military leaders.
I get what you’re saying about how an Imperial civilian government outside the military would make sense, but ANH established that Palpatine handed political power over to the governors, who were more or less parts of the military anyway, and the EU even had characters like Ysanne Isard and Sate Pestage, who were both politicians and who both ruled the empire for a while. Pestage basically got the role the same way a vice-president might take over after a presidential assassination. The military didn’t spontaneously take over the empire in the EU, but power-hungry moffs and admirals started undermining and assassinating each other, and all the in-fighting made it easier for the Rebels to take over Coruscant and the core-worlds. The moffs and warlords then held on to their territories and fought the New Republic as well as each other for several years until eventually being unified (forcefully of course) by Natasi Daala who eventually handed over the Imperial Remnant to Gilad Pellaeon, who in turn made a treaty with the New Republic some 10 years after Endor.
And if you wish to dabble in Dark Empire territory then you could assume that this was all some grand plan by Palpatine to weed out the traitors from the loyalists, etc, etc. Though even the EU people tended to ignore this as much as possible, at least pre-ROTS, as it makes everything very convoluted.
Overall though, the larger narrative of the EU (though admittedly a fair amount of this came in the form of retcons) does make sense overall. At least in Legends the Empire didn’t just collapse in a single year after the death of Palpatine like it does in canon (though the Mandalorian seems to have retconned it somewhat).
PS. EckhartsLadder made a very succinct video summarizing the most important post-Endor factions/warlords; https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lmz7Jon7gTY

I hate that the New EU is stuck on exploring the OT era and not the post ROTJ era.
I want to see what Luke did between ROTJ and Last Jedi. Other than in the Rise of Kylo Ren they don’t seem that interested in telling us these stories.
I hate the New EU, full stop.

“Vaapad” being in Darth Bane: Path of Destruction.
Also, I hate that things aren’t labeled to tell us if they’re part of the New EU. We shouldn’t have to debate whether or not a reference book released in 2016 is “canon”.
As someone who actually quite liked the New Jedi Order, I despise basically everything that came after it in Legends. The character assassination of Jacen was insulting and Denning’s weirdness really started to come through in a way it hadn’t in “Star by Star.”
