You’re missing the point again. The most important line, which I noticed that sc38 deleted, is “You can’t win, Darth. If you strike me down I shall become more powerful than you can possibly imagine.” Obi Wan isn’t trying to win, he’s trying to delay Vader so that Luke and friends can get to the Falcon. The moment he sees Luke is okay, he lets himself be killed because he knows he’s much more useful as a disembodied voice/force ghost that can give guidance to Luke.
They didn’t delete that line, it’s still in there.
SC 38 Reimagined is prequelized junk. Vader needlessly calling his lightsaber to his hand telekinetically is proof enough of that.
Perhaps the original duel is a tad too clunky and claustrophobic. Perhaps it could do with a facelift. But this overwrought masturbatory exercise isn’t the way towards doing that.
What’s “masturbatory” about showing Vader actually use the Force? Why shouldn’t space wizards with cool space wizard powers be shown using their cool space wizard powers?
