How do you feel about Origin? Is it awesome? Is it good? Is it bad? Is it trash?

As a service, it is better than it used to be but it is still inferior to Steam. Also, it’s annoying when a game bought on Steam requires Origin running to play the game.

I agree. I bought Sims 3 on Steam, but some things I believe required Origin, like the ‘SimPoints’ which is the currency used to buy cool stuff. I was quite upset, and it was one of the reasons I don’t play it much anymore.

When’s something gonna happen?

Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver.

I’ve played the first Soul Reaver game at least three times from start to finish, having originally bought it for the Sega Dreamcast.

Marvel’s Spider-Man PS4 is fucking rad.

I’ve heard some great things about it, for sure. The PS4 exclusives in general have just been really strong. Kinda makes me wish I picked one up.

Several games free to own for a little under 2 days, including Alan Wake expansion and Limbo:

I usually can’t stand online games and have never played an MMORPG, but I’ve really been enjoying Elder Scrolls Online lately. Granted, I’ve been treating it like a single player Elder Scrolls RPG and haven’t interacted with any other players or done any PvP stuff, so it’s really just like playing Skyrim with a different skill and combat system while watching other people run around doing quests while you are. Which can be kinda funny, and useful when there’s a bunch of enemies around that you both end up tackling together (enemies seem server-side while quest NPCs are client-side, I think).

But it does scratch the “I wanna play Skyrim but I’ve played it too much and am bored with it now” itch.

Wow. I used to frequent their forums quite a lot, around when Tales of Monkey Island was released.

I don’t get why people like Castlevania. All you do is fall through stairs and get hit by the myriad of shit that flies all over the screen.

That depends on which Castlevania game you’re talking about, of the 30+ games in the core franchise. A lot of people really like Symphony of the Night, which is open-world and is primarily responsible for starting the term “Metroidvania” to describe similar games that are not, themselves, Metroid or Castlevania.

I’m just talking about the first one, not the whole franchise.

The only one I’ve ever really enjoyed was Super Castlevania IV.

If you enjoy the nes ones there is something wrong with you. The snes one is moderately kick ass though.
