NBC had a couple of great “Must See TV” Thursday lineups.

The Cosby Show / Family Ties / Cheers / Night Court
Mad About You / Wings / Seinfeld / Frasier

Friends / Seinfeld was hard to beat but there were never good shows in the other two slots.

You’re forgetting The Office / Parks and Recreation / 30 Rock / Community. Best comedy lineup of the last decade.

They still have the best comedy line up on network TV right now (though that’s a very low bar) because of The Good Place and Superstore.

I haven’t sat down and watched a solid two hour block of shows in a long time. I like those first three shows a lot but all through Netflix. I’ve never seen an episode of Community.

Lol paja telling someone their opinion on culture is pathetic.

Not to mention that Red Green being on that list is far more concerning.

Mildly amusing, but great comedy it ain’t.

But great comedy it is. Not always smart comedy, but certainly well executed and very funny, and of course clever sometimes. It stayed on the air 15 years for a reason.
You wrong 😉.

Oh man, do yourself a favor and check out Community. It’s on Hulu currently.

The first three seasons are gold, season 4 (when the showrunner got fired) is generally considered poor but isn’t that awful, and seasons 5 and 6 (when the showrunner was rehired and then when the show moved from NBC to Yahoo Screen) are divisive for some, but I liked them a lot.

They’ll be adding Brooklyn Nine Nine to that lineup soon! Haven’t seen Superstore though, how is it?

Yeah I’ve finally started watching B99 and it is good. Superstore is pretty consistently funny and would definitely recommend.

I’m sorry to say though that I’ve seen the pilots for the new NBC comedies this Fall and they are not great.

How I Met Your Mother was a lot of fun.

Was it?

Parks and Recreation is hilarious.

It is.

And I really want to get into Star Trek. I have not seen a single movie or TV episode of Star Trek yet.

What.

I hate Friends. I used to like the Cosby Show when I was a kid but I can’t watch it any more.

30 rock is swell. Parks and Rec is splendid.

From the beginning, and in order of release. I chose to skip Voyager, Enterprise, and Discovery.

HIMYM was good for a few seasons. Then I kept watching hoping it would get its spark back, and it just kept getting worse and worse, and then the finale guaranteed I’ll never even attempt to rewatch it in the future. Killed the entire show retroactively, much like Dexter’s finale did.

I’ve watched episodes of all those shows, I should really watched the whole series’.

Not enough people read the EU.

Animated Series is optional. I’ve been meaning to watch it, but haven’t yet.

“Yesteryear” is required viewing.

I agree with this, and I’d include The Animated Series in the watch category.

No love for TNMT (the original 80’s one)?

Yussssssss

Also voyager is worth watching skimming. Maybe find a guide to know which episodes are important and which are skippable. I like it’s premise and concept and besides nelix (I think? Been a while)I really like it’s characters as well. It just suffers from filler and in some cases bad episodes.

The Red Green show was great! Sure it was very hit-and-miss, but when it hit it was hilarious. Some of the skits I remember fondly were (1) when they converted a car to gull-wing doors using duct tape and a garage door opener, (2) when Bill tried to set up a trolling motor and got tangled up in the fishing lines, and (3) this skit explaining Boolean Logic:

Caught a few episodes a couple years back for the first time since the early '90s.

Liked the character designs and animation.

That is all.

I liked the 2004(?) series as a kid. I liked even more the spin-off where they were in the future. Now, I remember very little of either (strangely, though, I remember one specific scene about a Hot Dog from the latter).
