TV shows you have loved

This is basically a less specific version of other TV threads. Post your favorite TV shows you loved when you were just a wee lad, TV shows you always watch when you were a teen, and shows you can’t resist when you are an adult. Have fun!

My favourite show as a kid was Ben 10, but I watched an episode not long back and found I didn’t actually enjoy it very much, a sad realisation.

Not enough people read the EU.

Must be a steep generational gap, because I never liked that show. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

EDIT: Nvm, just remembered a friend older than I that loved that show.

TV shows I liked/loved when I was younger (childhood to early 20s), but now dislike or consider meh:

  • Andromeda
  • Batman ('66 series)
  • Honey, I Shrunk the Kids: The TV Show
  • Inspector Gadget
  • Mutant X
  • Passions
  • The Red Green Show
  • Royal Canadian Air Farce
  • Smallville
  • Spider-Man: The Animated Series
  • Stargate SG-1

I watched lots and lots of reruns of the original Transformers series in childhood. Got the DVD set when it was on sale, it was pretty meh, though I still enjoy watching an odd episode now and again.

The movie still kicks ass.

There were a lot of TV shows I loved when I was little. A lot of them were 3D and a lot involved cartoon animals that stood on their two feet and barely looked like the real thing. One of the shows was Canadian and was basically Looney Tunes but in 3D. You never saw the human’s faces in the show. I remember an episode which technically played out like a 1920s gangster flick. That show never airs anymore. (Not that I know of) And, beleive it or not, some of the Dragon Ball Z cast starred in that show.

When’s something gonna happen?

-Arrested Development
-It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia
-Better off Ted
-Archer

These are my recent favorites. Other than star trek I don’t really get into any TV series about serious subject matter. I tend to prefer serious movies and comedic TV shows.

Also known as Mr. Liquid Jungle.

WOW! This thread is FAST!

Also, to add on to my list of TV shows I have loved:

Tom and Jerry I especially enjoyed it at my friend’s house, which was long ago.

You probably didn’t know what the other show I said was, as It’s forgotten. 😕

Star Trek, obviously. The 60s Batman series, and the animated series. Looney Tunes, Johnny Bravo, the original Scooby DooX-Files, The Twilight Zone, Seinfeld, Arrested Development, these are all the shows I’ve loved.

Recently, I’ve been rewatching The Office, and I was surprised at how emotionally devastating that show is.

Wait is this for shows that you used to love when you were a kid but don’t anymore, used to love as a kid and still do, or have recently loved as an adult?

I think it’s all of the above.

Not to mention that Red Green being on that list is far more concerning.

Army of Darkness: The Medieval Deadit | The Terminator - Color Regrade | The Wrong Trousers - Audio Preservation
SONIC RACES THROUGH THE GREEN FIELDS.
THE SUN RACES THROUGH A BLUE SKY FILLED WITH WHITE CLOUDS.
THE WAYS OF HIS HEART ARE MUCH LIKE THE SUN. SONIC RUNS AND RESTS; THE SUN RISES AND SETS.
DON’T GIVE UP ON THE SUN. DON’T MAKE THE SUN LAUGH AT YOU.

My all-time favorite show is The Prisoner. SciFi Channel showed it Sunday nights in their early days on the air. I’d never seen anything like it and was hooked instantly. They also used to do a marathon during a certain holiday (I can’t remember which one) and I looked forward to it all year.

NBC had a couple of great “Must See TV” Thursday lineups.

The Cosby Show / Family Ties / Cheers / Night Court
Mad About You / Wings / Seinfeld / Frasier

Friends / Seinfeld was hard to beat but there were never good shows in the other two slots.

You’re forgetting The Office / Parks and Recreation / 30 Rock / Community. Best comedy lineup of the last decade.
