Looking pretty good, Dre, but it still seems a bit dark…IMHO. If you bump up the Gamma/Brightness/Contrast a bit, to the level of NeverarGreat’s Tech V1 version, wouldn’t that be a bit better?

For me personally these contrast settings look a bit more film like to me, but nothing is set in stone. The contrast settings are inspired by Mike Verta’s samples, which are a bit darker than Neverar’s settings, although not much. Adjustments may be made once I’ve looked at it in motion.

Yea…I got you, Dre. I’d just hate to have you go too dark and lose detail in some of those interior shots. Once you go too dark, you can’t regain the details you may have lost, but I’m certain you already know this.

I’ve tweaked the colors slightly removing some red and magenta and adding some yellow:

So if I’m following this correctly, your 4k77 regrade and the SE Blu-Ray regrade will both be LUT’s to apply over either 4K77 or Neverar’s Technicolor-Regrade of the Blu Ray? And they will both be shooting to have very similar colors?

If so, that is really awesome cause then someone can make their own custom special edition using your beautiful regrades 😃

Lord of the Rings: The Darth Rush Definitives

I’m talking about Dr. Dress 4K77 project. Which I’m pretty sure is shot which would make sharing LUTS impractical.

Yes, it is my intention to apply the same color grading to both sources. 😃

Yes, my 4k77 project is shot by shot. I will share the LUTs (roughly 2,000 of them) in the appropriate threads.

Here’s another shot of the Death Star conference room sequence:

Those both look really good… So you got rid of the Red splodge on his forehead!

The 4k77 regrade and the bluray regrade are now in synch. Here are the same shots for the 4k77 regrade and the bluray regrade.

Great work, once again, Dre. Just curious, is this Blu-ray regrade available for download somewhere and if so, where, or is this project not complete yet?

Indeed, it will be quite a while before it’s complete.

Dear Dr Dre, thanks to your program Color Match v1_2, I started to repaint the movie the Lord of the Rings: the Fellowship of the Ring Extended Edition.

This is great work, are you going shot by shot?

You should start a thread, a lot of people where would be very interested in discussing your methods.

Yes to both of the above. Please start a thread for it, I’m eager to watch your progress! 😄

I’ve decided to put back some of the green in the Vader/Antilles shots, because I think, it looks more authentic:
