Wow.

Go ahead and explain why the giant Joi hologram had to be naked and not dressed in any of the clothes she wore while with K/Joe. Go ahead, I’ll wait.Probably because showing nudity is more exploitative and immature than clothes.
WYSHS
Exploitation is often more exciting than clothes.
Is this supposed to be a defense?
Not really. I just don’t consider what you consider to be exploitation to be a problem at all.
Obviously.
I’m very in favor of sexual liberation and body positivity. I think if people were less spooked by nudity then it would help a lot.
Gosh, if women would just get over being exploited everything would be cool and we could all enjoy looking at more boobs in movies without the whiny prudes complaining about it.
I wouldn’t phrase it that way, but sure.

Wow.
Like I said, I wouldn’t phrase it that way but you’ll just read whatever I say as that anyway so I don’t think it’s worth my time to actually reiterate my position.
The Person in Question
Probably.
Not probably, definitely. But I’m already hated by everyone I’ve ever interacted with so I don’t really care if what I think is twisted around at this point.

Hey, I like most of your politics posts.
Not a fan of your women posts.
It happens.
Anyway, regarding the whole Spidey debate, I have no opinion because I saw the first one and that’s it. For whatever reason I’ve really never been able to make myself care about any superhero movies beyond the Burton Batman ones.
JEDIT: Not entirely true, I did enjoy most of the first Iron Man, as well as the first Avengers. GotG were both pretty good too. But Spiderman, Superman, etc…never could get into those.

Spider-Man 3 (2007) (Editor’s Cut) - Not bad. It’s sloppy and often downright ridiculous, but there’s enough heart in it to win me over.
imo it is sometimes better than homecoming.
No.
I think he was replying to my tweet in which I said it was better than Homecoming… which it is, imo…
I’m a 3 fan, but it’s not even close. There’s literally nothing about it that is better.
You got me there.
Aside from the first film, I don’t recall Tobey quipping much. That’s not his fault, though; Raimi dropped the ball.
I still don’t see this as a problem, though I vaguely understand the complaint. I get that he quips in the comics, but in Spider-Man 2, when is he in a position where it’s in his or anyone else’s best interest to make corny one-liners? I know he did a lot in the videogames, but I just don’t see how him doing it less often in the movies is actually an issue with the character adaptation, especially since he did have occasional quips.
Also, I’m sure it had to do with the script writer as well. If Raimi never thought a quip was needed here or there, and it wasn’t in the script, that isn’t really a problem on his end, is it?

The spiderman 3 dancing scene is unironically a incredibly enjoyable scene. Never understood the hate for it. It’s fun, over the top, beyond silly, and I just ate it up.
Too bad the rest of the movie was an overcrowded mess.
The dance scene in Spiderman 3 is my favorite scene in any superhero movie.

Therein lies the hate. Seeing a hero succumb to his dark side isn’t moving when that dark side consists of being fun, over the top, and beyond silly.
He’s plenty lighthearted in the first one though.
The dance scene in Spiderman 3 is my favorite scene in any superhero movie.

You gave Ice Cream Man (staring Clint Howard) almost the same rating as Flash Gordon…
I almost watched Flash Gordon once. Found out the title character was a football player, and decided against it.
.
He’s not just a football player, he’s a quarterback for the New York Jets!
Seriously though, that’s a weird reason not to watch it. I’m pretty sure your opinion of football and football players will not impact your feelings on the movie in either direction.

He was a polo player in the Buster Crabbe version and in the comics. 😉
Where were you in '77?

Which is better. Football players are bad people. Polo players, probably less so.

That’s 'cause Ice Cream Man entertained me. Flash Gordon did not.

Flash is a boring non-entity in spite of being a football player.
Boring?
Boring???
It’s not exactly high art, but I’ve certainly never heard that one before.
