how did no one see obi-wan in the death star then? pretty sure that place would have cameras too.

Cloaked via The Force? The guys guarding the tractor beam thingy didn’t see him.

The only obvious cameras are in the detention block.

The only thing I can think of to explain the cameras is “who cares!” It’s a movie meant for kids, if it was meant for adults half the stuff in the movie wouldn’t even happen!

And it being for kids isn’t a bad thing!

That’s the closest thing to a compliment anyone on this site has ever given me. 😉

If you overlook Beru and Owen’s charred skeletons, Han being in trouble for dumping a shipment of drugs he was smuggling, and Chewie not wearing any pants, sure! 😛

We’re going to give them lunch and then complain they didn’t earn it like Luke did by crash landing on Dagobah.

Luke brought his own lunch to Dagobah. Yoda rewarded this level of planning with a gift of mud and wamprat stew. Luke was a better student, Yoda a better teacher. Nice going, Disney!

That’s ‘Wamprat’ Stew to you.

It was the only picture I could find in a 2 second search and “I’m so sorry” for quoting the prequels.

This is a good place for high quality screencaps.

You probably don’t recognize me because of the red arm.

Just heard someone in a podcast refer to original recipe Star Wars. I think I’m using that terminology from now on. 😛

I will start refer to the OUT as “Star Wars Classic,” and the SEs as “New Star Wars.”

Not sure if this warrants its own thread, but it looks like Celebration 2019 is going to be in Chicago, which is close enough to me that I might actually make it out to this one (Chicago and Orlando are actually more or less equidistant from me, but I’m doing a lot better with money than I was in 2017 so it feels more doable). Anyone else considering it?

i’ve never read anything about any of the past celebrations, so i don’t know something that ought to be basic: do i need a ticket to get in or do i just show up and i’m good?
