Better than most of the 18 previous chapters. Good movie then ? Heck, no ! But fun and action packed, with a good vilain for once.

Can I also count as this since I’ve never liked the MCU because I hate crossovers in movies? I also hate movies that are bloated with meaningless CGI action spectacle that looks ugly, but that’s a more arguable aspect.

Oh yeah about the cgi stuff in Avengers 3, since we’re on a forum with cgi specialists who find every single green screen in the PT to be terrible, what about this movie ? Lots of fake sets, and very poor animation of Thanos minions. It’s a huge cartoon, but almost emotionless cartoon.

Exactly my thoughts: it’s not high art, it’s indeed just a funny dumb movie with an interesting ending. And I liked the vilain, first good MCU vilain ? (haven’t seen all movies so not sure)
That’s being said, it could have been better. I have seen better superheroes movies, so I can tell.

The comics pretty much invented crossovers. This was my favorite as a kid.
Even then, I thought this would make for a great movie. 😃

I really hope that…
INFINITY WAR SPOILERS
…they have the balls to actually keep the characters that died before the “SNAP” dead. I acknowledge that all the disintegrated characters due to the “SNAP” will be back, but everyone else should be gone for good.
I agree except for
spoils
Gamora, because even though her death was well done and made sense in the context of the film, on the whole I think it is a premature end to the character.

I could see that. I haven’t read the comics so I don’t know anything about how any of that works but

I wonder if because of the way she died there’s something about the soul stone that could bring her back specifically, like maybe her soul is in the stone? I don’t know.
It’s not my favorite Marvel movie but it might be the only one that has made me want to read the comics. Any recs?

Gamora is trapped in the Soul Stone, and she’ll be “resurrected” when Thanos loses it or gives it up eventually.
