I think the alternate music track is an isolated score anyway, so all you’d get is the music with no dialogue or sound effects.

JEDIT: Words are hard.

Got it thanks.

I’m about to watch Alien for the first time and im not sure to start with the original Music Track or The Alternate Music Track. Which one would you Choose?

Original. Look what site you’re on.

Sorry. And Thanks?

You’re fine. It’s just funny whenever someone asks to see anything that’s not the theatrical cut on a site dedicated to bringing unavailable theatrical cuts of movies to everyone.

I like plenty of non theatrical. It’s when one is hidden that I’m bothered. Though Alien and especially Aliens should be watched in their original form.

Kind of like Star wars.

Especially the original Cloverfield.
And check out the hidden backstory with this guide to the viral marketing and this retrospective on the whole thing first.
10 Lane is good, but would’a been better without the Cloverfield tag on the end.

That marketing tie-in stuff is kind of cool.

Lol one of those movies is not like the others.

Sue me. I know most consider it bad (might need to bump a particular thread), but I have zero problems with it other than literally one shot (bad CGI).

I’ve never even seen it and I don’t think I care enough to hire a lawyer.

Man everyone is so touchy this week.

Aw man, Conquest is totally a 3/4! I agree with you on the others though.

Except Nacho Libre.

Only exception to your PotA ratings is that I think Escape is the most watchable sequel. But not by much.

Beneath is pulpy fun, Escape has a nice satirical edge, and Conquest is pretty subversive for mainstream SF. It’s Battle that’s the glorified TV movie weak spot because the budget got slashed to hell.

I just find all of the Ape sequels to be unnecessary and kinda bad. Conquest was marginally better than the others. Overall though, I did like plenty of the cinematography in all of them.

And to elaborate further on Libre, if you asked me what to rate it 3/4 of the way through the picture, I would say 3.5/4, but after the final fight, with Eagle Powers™ and all, it jumps way up. The music really helps, too (probably my favorite aspect of the film).

I guess I didn’t mean to sound touchy (and yeah, that’s been goin’ around), just meant to express that I didn’t care that one is a goofy comedy and the others aren’t. If I enjoy it enough to give it a full score, it gets a four.

And I was just pointing out one was unlike all the others. There was no judgement there.

That phrase is generally used to refer to one thing being of considerably lower quality in the eyes of the poster.

But it don’t matter. Have a nice day.
