OK, say my image sequence is ESB-R1-S00500-0001.dpx - ESB-R1-S00500-0128.dpx - what exactly will the line in the script read?

I don’t know if you can use that for DPX O_o, I’ve never seen a way to use DPX in AVS…

I guess it would involve something about “ESB-R1-S00500-%04d”?

OK, that actually settles two of my problems - I’ll be using png - it’s 8bit only, but so are my sources anyway and I should be able to use it in everything. I was considering tiff as well, but that would be huge files.

I actually realized while doing some test image-sequence exports, that I have Neat Video 4 for Premiere, which has pretty awesome auto dust busting (unlike Neat Video 3, which I have for AE), so together with Warp Stabilizer, I can do all the auto cleanup and stabilization that will be needed, directly in Premiere and won’t be needing Avisynth at all 😃

I actually didn’t know neat video was available internally for premiere. This is awesome information for my day job haha

Very cool, I love seeing how the tauntaun sausage gets made! I never thought about how the beginning of the reel would get affected. Thanks for the update!

Great stuff, though in future videos it would be great if you could make the screen you’re focusing talking about the one that shows up larger, you’d say “you can see here” about various small details on the left screen, but there’s no way we can. Anyway, this video is fine as is, just a request for the future. Thanks for everything, and really glade to see this sort of progress and revitalized attention to the project!

If I was working on one monitor, the image part would be just as small, if not smaller. I had to make the monitor with the interface and the task-sheet larger, to make the text readable.

Perhaps I’m just not following your setup, I assumed you probably have two (similarly sized?) 4K monitors side by side you work on. I just meant while you’re talking about what is happening more in the left screen, such as visible differences between sources or various levels of filtered content, it would be nice to make that the larger of the two for those moments. Assuming that the sizes of the individual screens in your video was a conscious choice, rather than an inherent workspace recording limitation as you might get if this is a 1080p monitor next to a 4K monitor, or that whatever you used to record or put together these two screens didn’t force you to choose a dominant one for the duration.

Will Audrey Tautou appear in Despecialized 3.0 ? Sounds great ! 😃

I actually saw Audrey Tautou in real life once and she is teeny tiny. I would say like 5 feet (1m50) kinda tiny.

Right back to Despecialized! Hey Harmy, it’s my birthday next month - you think you could be finished with 3.0 by then for the whole trilogy?

(This was sarcasm…just in case anyone misunderstood)

What’s the internal temperature of a TaunTaun? Luke warm.

Harmy, I would love you releasing for one of my non-anniversaries a 5 Gb 4K version of SW with the Jabba scene but Jabba being replaced by a giant garden gnome. Thanks for your work !

That honestly sounds really adorable.
Nice experience.

And I’ve loved every pixel of it.

You’re so right.

Here’s part two of my last video, this time introducing how Nuke will be used in my new v3.0 workflow.😃
I listened to the complaints from the last one and made this one on one monitor, so you guys can better see what’s going on 😃

These are really neat to see. Thanks for doing them!

Very cool. I see some of the elements are moving with respect to each other. I wonder if it’s because you are applying the same stabilization to all 3 (raw, mild, and heavy noise reduced). If you think about it, the heavily noise reduced copy is already more stable just from the noise reduction. Using its motion vectors to stabilize the raw may not be appropriate. Maybe try stabilizing them with the same anchor points, but separately?

I was actually trying to preserve the movement of the elements in relation to each other, since that was always there.

Oh, I see that now, it’s that way in the original! My mistake, sorry.

Is version 3 going to be created using scans of 35mm prints? Or is it derived from the official blu-ray like previous versions?
