Star Wars Episode III: Labyrinth Of Evil (Released) — Page 23

I have no idea, myself. Perhaps the HDTV version is indeed a better source for this scene.

Idea: could you attempt sunset and nighttime versions? I wonder how it’d look to cross fade between these two over the course of the scene.

My stance on revising fan edits.

If you want to test the idea, you could use the HDTV versions I’ve already uploaded:
Sunset:

Night:

I can render the Blu-ray version of the sunset, but a night version would take time. However, it’s such a short scene that I don’t think fading one into the other would be very realistic.

You probably don’t recognize me because of the red arm.

I have recently been presented by another form user, whom I will leave anonymous unless he wishes to reveal himself, with the original theatrical DTS audio for the entire prequel trilogy. After tooling with it for a while today, I am confident that I will be able to use this as the primary audio source for this final version of the trilogy.
The only problem is encoding the final result. Is anybody out there willing to take a lossless .WAV file and encode it as a DTS file? If so, that will allow me to monks the final output into the movies, avoiding the need to make it a silly extra download the way we had to do for TFA:R.
It would only need to be DTS, because that is what the source itself is.

I can encode to regular DTS from WAV with eac3to. I just don’t have the ability to do DTS-HD MA.

I’ll look into that program, Mala. And thanks, Ash, I will pass along vetted wav files if needed once I’m to that point if I can’t do it myself.
ROTS seems very smooth after syncing and reconnecting media. It’s a bit louder than the DVD audio, so I raised the deleted scenes’ audio slightly. But a partial skimming of edit points doesn’t reveal anything concerning.
I’m excited by this opportunity to upgrade the audio at the last minute like this.

That’s sounding pretty very good Hal! Looking forward to the final product!

Are the theatrical dts tracks really a big improvement on the blu rays? Legitimate question I’ve no idea and I’m curious.

No, but I had used the DVD audio as the primary source for 2 and 3 all along. For some reason certain rear sounds were missing when I tried to use the BR audio, enough to spook me from trying to use it.

But he never owned R2… the poor beheaded R4, on the other hand… 😃

That always confused me. I thought R4 died in the Clone Wars miniseries, but there he was in RotS…

I believe working with Obi-Wan as a R4 unit was a very dangerous mission, and then many “died” on the front. I think Anakin got R2 after his encounter with Ventress on Yavin IV, where his astromechanics unit got destroyed.

Might as well wait until V5 (the final version) is out, which shouldn’t be too much longer.

Oh I didn’t realize it wasn’t out yet (I skimmed through it too fast), how soon do you believe it to be?

Author

Yeah sorry about that, let me just edit that
