That RAGE cover Paja posted got a laugh.
I assume it’s supposed to look like Cage just bombed somebody’s car, but it looks like he doesn’t yet realize that somebody’s just bombed his car.

Ha! “Do I smell barbecue…?”

Creepy CGI Cushing looks more like him than this.

The following is not a terrible cover, I just think it’s kinda funny.

DESIGNER 1: Okay, we’ve narrowed this down to two posters, which one should we use for the actual product?

DESIGNER 2: Yes.

DESIGNER 1: Okay, now we need to pick a review quote for the back that draws in potential buyers who may be daunted by the fact that this is a sequel to a 35 year old film.

DESIGNER 2: What about this review from Variety?

DESIGNER 1: You’re a genius!

As far as I can tell, this is just the poster art, but it’s still lazy.

Didn’t know the Christopher Reeve remake was on DVD. Is it any good?

Last time I watched it was a number of years ago. It’s nothing great — a pretty by-the-numbers late '90s TV movie — but I do respect it more than other modern remakes.

That’s the poster boy for covers that ruin the entire movie. The person responsible should be forced to watch the Tim Burton remake on a loop. That or Time Of The Apes. 😉

Have the Planet of the Apes reissued boxset, whose cover art I rather like:

also, while I appreciate that they tried to evoke the original poster for the latest standalone BD issue of the original film, that they made the cage look like a human mobile for above an ape baby’s crib is most unfortunate:

I would put this in my sig if I weren’t so lazy.

That movie’s so bad, simply making him watch the opening shot of Mark Wahlberg crashing in the Apraham Simian memorial just once should be sufficient punishment.

I’d pay money to see Rifftrax do it live. : )

Luckily the Blu-Ray reverts to the original poster art, but still:

But that’s only the appetizer, it’s now time to go bananas:

Some DeLaurentiis Kong madness, the R1 is bad:

Albeit not as much as:

Or you could have just taken the picture right. Or posted a scan of the album like everyone else
