So excited to see the new version coming together so nicely! I would love if one of ya’ll could point me to a tutorial on how you do these effects. I am pretty fluent in Premiere but haven’t touched After Effects yet.

YouTube is pretty amazing. I know it’s a catch all for learning pretty much anything, but it is super helpful in finding out how to do stuff. Just search for something specific you are wanting to do and be sure to add “after effects” to it.

Thank you, Ridley. I’ve got those two audio clips set in place. The only things left from you are the 3PO leg shot without the added widescreen matte, and getting the Leia deleted scene to Neverargreat for regrading.
I’m also expecting two submissions for the “weapon recharged” line, and I plan to pit the three options (including the original line) against each other in the arena of this thread.

Once these forthcoming elements are cemented in place, I can congratulate you all on a truly excellent finished product. I couldn’t be happier with how V2(.1) has turned out. Once that’s done, I’ll probably have to turn my eye to THE LAST JEDI. I don’t have any clear direction yet, as the understanding and learning phase is just beginning. (Gotta GET the movie before modifying it.) But that’s for another time.

I would be HIGHLY interested on a Last Jedi edit. i did enjoy/entertained by Last Jedi, it is a very decisive movie indeed with some very nessary edits.

I would think that edit would be similar to your prequel edits Hal. Trim the fat (unnecessary humor/bad scenes) and replace scenes maybe with the supposed high quality deleted scenes to help with the good parts of the movie.

Well, that’s probably a subject better discussed in its own thread. Way too early to create one for my project; the bedrock of the “TLJ Ideas” thread has to mature first.

This means that now the only thing left is the redubbed line from the tech guy. I’m waiting on two submissions, at which point I should have at least three options to put up for consideration.

Good part about this is that I can go ahead and render the video streams. Nearly there, guys!

Oh carp, there’s supposed to be a LUT applied to this.

I’ll have the fixed scene uploaded momentarily, and with some slightly better grain on that one shot as well.

That is correct. The sync remains the same between V2 and V2.1.

I took the LUT back out and tweaked the colors again to make it more similar to the rest of the film. I think I’m finally happy with it.
