I miss being a pizza delivery guy. I liked that job.

I didn’t like what it did to my car, though.

Well, there’s that, and then there’s the massive increase in maintenance needed.

If you deliver pizza for too long, your car will explode.

Can confirm, the car exploded on a delivery. That’s why I disappeared for so long. 😉

I may be applying for a job at a local pizza joint tomorrow. I have to wait for the manager to call me back first.

As it turns out, the guy already has a staff of ten and business is slow this time of year, so there’s no place for me right now. Maybe when spring/summer rolls around there will be.

That’s good. Apply somewhere else in the meantime.

I’m adopting two kittens on Sunday! 😄

They’re rescues, both about 5 months old, and are already bonded so the woman I’m adopting them from is thrilled that she doesn’t have to split them up.

Paid my landlord the pet deposit today, spending tomorrow cleaning the hell out of my apartment and buying necessary supplies (litter box, litter, food, scratching post, some toys).

Been wanting/needing a pet for a while - I’d prefer a dog but I work/am gone too much for one, so cats it is. With two, they can keep each other company while I’m at work, too!

Unless their foster mom sees something she really doesn’t like on Sunday, I’ll have two new friends to keep my hermit self company in a couple days. 😃

Just watched Star Wars with my girlfriend for the first time. She loved it. Remarkably not only has she never seen it but also knows nothing about it, not even the characters or story or themes. It’s such an amazing experience getting to watch it with somebody that is experiencing it with new unspoiled eyes and ears. Like she doesn’t even know that

SPOILER

darth Vader is Luke’s father =)

so she’s gonna be thrown for a loop in the next one and I can’t wait to see her reaction.

She loves it. I had to make her promise not to Google the next one. This is an experience I honestly thought I would never get to have unless it was with a child. Never thought I would get to do this with an adult. I mean sure plenty of adults haven’t seen it but few don’t know at least some of the story bits.

A few years ago, I got see a 35mm print of the original Planet of the Apes. The guy in front of me brought his grandkids, and they exclaimed with surprise during the big reveal at the end. It was so cool.

I can understand never having seen Star Wars, but how could she have managed to avoid the spoiler all this time?

Got an unexpected bonus at work today! It’s directly related to the fucking horrible new tax bill so I’m sort of ambivalent about it, but it’s not like refusing it will reverse the legislation, so I think I might take the opportunity to finally upgrade to 4K.

She doesn’t know if she believes Vader is Luke’s father or not. But she loved TESB. And getting to experience her hearing Vader say he is Luke’s father when she actually didn’t see it coming or expect it was a thrill I can’t describe. It was like I could feel the suspense in the air coming off of her and I suddenly had the feeling of wonder like it was my first time.

She was blown away. She loved the first one also but she didn’t expect this one to be good just purely on the grounds that it was a sequel.
