I like how they built a full bridge set for RotJ just to not light it, put a console in the middle of the main walkway, then throw a car through it.

i did not know that! can you see it at full speed now that you know?

Yeah, why are the lights off? It seems like they’re hanging out after hours.
And I’d never realized how weird it is that there’s a console right in the middle of the walkway until now.
I’ve always loved that they drove a car though it though.

Hopefully Adywan can fix the bridge without building a full-sized bridge set in his garden.

Nah, it just looks like the A-Wing to me. Goes by in a blur.
But a little tweaking to make it look more like the A-Wing would be great and I’m sure Ady can make that happen.

After all these years I didn’t think these films held any more surprises for me. Until earlier this year I discovered a new droid I had never noticed before! It can be found in the first shot of the Executor bridge as the Rebels are trying to sneak onto Endor in the shuttle Tydirium:

A closer examination of what’s left of the prop reveals that it’s a retooled torture droid given an Imperial makeover:

I believe this droid is the unacknowledged inspiration for K-2SO. As they share the same basic shape and height. In that same shot, a crewman approaches the droid and it towers over him. He’s hard to make out in stills, so I’ve outlined him:

So I was thinking, in line with the TFA bunk easter egg in ESBR. You might consider something like this?:

Just a thought!

Wow I never noticed that at all.

It would be really neat and a nice easter egg if we get a K2 unit there. It wouldn’t be so obvious in your face but if you catch it that’s neat!

I wonder if it would be possible to brighten up the lighting of the space battle at all. The space battle at Scarrif in Rogue One was simply spectacular because of the bright lighting - it looked just like the brightly lit shots you see from the ISS. I realize you could explain it away that Endor’s sun is just a dimmer star, but the RO battle was so much more vivid and realistic looking. ROTJ’s battle looks dingy and unconvincing in comparison.

Also, when the Death Star opens fire on the rebel ships, I always thought that the beam should pass right through the vaporized ship and keep going, rather than simply disappearing right after making contact. It would make the laser look much more powerful.

(Also +1 for a K2!)

I never noticed the control panel is in the wrong place. It’s obviously done because of framing.

They have a nice background and they wanted to show it off while he was at a console talking to tyderium.

But then why not go with the area off the side like in esb? (The place where the probe droid sends photos of the shield generator)… Oh cause they didn’t build it.

Looks like there should be a “Closed” sign in the window.

Obviously the empire had a green initiative with their ships. Lots of complaints for the low flow toilets though.

Low lighting hides small or cheap-looking sets. Lucas used the same technique in ANH to make the hangar on Yavin 4 look bigger.

They told me they’d fixed it!

They didn’t have to do that in ESB.

That’s cause they only built half the set for ESB. Apparently having two pits just eats the lighting budget.

A. Duracell Love the Lene Lovich sig 😃
B. Those little metal bud things under Vader’s mask would look more disturbing if they went up his nose and presumably into what is left of his lungs. It would make the guy look a bit like the guild navigators in Lynch’ dune which is no bad thing as the design was pretty creepy. I prefer Vader without hair of any kind. and I would restore some of the redness around the eyes.

This. I like this.

Very good edit list! Just a few things I don’t quite agree with but since I’m 100% OK with the rest I totally stay hyped for this project (especially after watching what you’ve achieved with TESB:R).

Remove the new Ewok eyes

Too bad, it was a good BRD 2011 addition, it gave ewoks a creepier look. The only issue with that is it wasn’t made for all ewoks.

This is where the Force Ghosts will appear and the film will end with Luke being alone (which in turn foreshadows TFA).

Interesting ! So I assume the “revisited is only a trilogy for itself” point of view does no longer apply if elements are made to link the OT:R with the new movies (then any “it’s from the PT so it’s not gonna be considered in OT:R” becomes quite irrelevant… so old Naboo fighters to join the Endor battle 😉).

Remove droid torture in Jabba’s Palace

Oh! This is a funny shot 😃

I always felt that this would be the strongest way to end it.

I thought it would be interesting if instead of fireworks going off in the sky (did the rebels bring fireworks with them or do they always carry some around?), debris from the Second Death Star was burning up in the atmosphere, like dozens of shooting stars.

But end it the way you envision it, Ady! Looking forward to whatever you do!

The way how the funeral pyre scene is played out, how and where are you going to put in the Force ghosts?
