If your point is that Tony Hovater is a stupid idiotic racist and nutcase, I would agree.

yes.
It just seemed like a pretty clear post to me.
Well, not to me.

Well that clears things up. I’m sure Warb appreciates.
Are you trying to say the neo-Nazi got preferrential treatment…?
It is possible the neo-nazi got preferrential treatment. But it is also possible that Michael Brown assaulted a cop, unsuccessfully tried to take the cop’s gun from him, and then charged the cop and was shot and killed in self defense. The thing is, as much as I hate the neo-Nazi, as far as I know he has not committed any acts of violence. Yet. The first amendment prevents anyone from arresting him(or killing him) merely for being a neo-Nazi.
Yeah but he’s a Nazi.
I still don’t get your point. Just because two people are bad doesn’t mean both are equally bad. He’s a Nazi, the other’s violent, both are stated as such.
You guys really don’t get it, do you? Read those two sections again. This Nazi guy is being treated as if he were a happy-go-lucky nice neighbor that lives down the street. He’s not. He’s a Nazi. The normalization is sickening. There’s also a bit of racism at play.
Yeah but he’s a Nazi.
Being a nazi, while unpopular, is legal in the United States (1st amendment). Assaulting a cop and trying to take his gun is not legal.

rest assured, I would not treat him as a happy-go-lucky nice neighbor. I would want nothing to do with the guy.
There’s also a bit of racism at play.
No doubt. Tony Hovater is clearly a racist.

I thought it was funny how the author tried to use rapping as some sort of blow against Brown’s character.

Yeah I don’t get his point either. Those profiles had nothing to do with each other and seemed incredibly objective. It isn’t like they omitted the fact that the guy is a Nazi. That would be a different issue.

That was stupid. I’m with you there.

How is it normalization? They didn’t pretend he wasn’t a Nazi.
The Person in Question
I think he thinks it is becoming more and more normal to be a nazi.
No; it’s the presentation as if he’s a normal guy.
No; it’s the presentation as if he’s a normal guy.
Is that really what the article did?
That fact that he’s a Nazi and is attempting to spread white nationalist propaganda would communicate to most sane people that he isn’t a normal guy.
The Person in Question
I think they said he appears to be normal, but isn’t.
Yes, that’s very obviously what they’re saying.
