The TPM trailer was pretty darn cool IIRC.
Trailers are generally worthless in predicting how good a movie will be.
It’s not that it would have been hard to find an example of disagreement, it’s just that was the first example that came to mind.
So are we talking about the trailer or not? I still can’t tell.
(I’m all for it)
Yes.
I watched the trailer once. Didn’t like it at all. I don’t even like the poster. I’m getting worried. I did like the teaser, but… well, hopefully it’s good.

I’m not sure how much I like the “red and white” thing they have going on with their marketing, but the poster seemed fine to me.
I didn’t watch the trailer.
The prequels also had pretty nice posters. TFA had a lousy poster. Take from that what you will.
I would put this in my sig if I weren’t so lazy.
Posters are even less predictive than trailers.

What were some of the biggest things that stuck out to you in the trailer that made you worried?
So, what’s the consensus on Porgs? Do people like them?
I hate them already.
I don’t mind them at the moment. We’ll see how I feel in two months.
I’m vegetarian.
I’m vegetarian.
How do you know they aren’t plant birds?

This.
No point in having an opinion on something that is so far just in two seconds of a trailer.
I have a feeling that the porgs will be more worthwhile than the tribbles
And less consequential than the Ewoks.
You probably don’t recognize me because of the red arm.
Episode 9 Rewrite, The Starlight Project (Released!) and ANH Technicolor Project (Released!)
I have some serious speculation for you guys.
Ha!
Wrong thread though. :p

I’d probably have to see it again but the biggest thing was that it had a completely different feel than what a SW movie is to me. The porg felt like a baby Groot, the walkers in the beginning looked like they were from a video game, Snoke looked unnecessarily bad to the point of being ridicilously ugly, and the Leia/Kylo scene just felt something not belonging to classical science fantasy world. But hey, I had just woken up minute earlier when I saw the trailer and maybe in context it may work. I just got a completely different vibes from this than on the last teaser or TFA trailer for comparison. And I hope I’m wrong.

The Leia/Kylo scene may not even be an actual scene, given that they aren’t in the same shots.
I wouldn’t worry much about a trailer not feeling like a movie lol.
I also think that the Porg is their attempt to include a Baby Groot type thing.
The Person in Question
Wouldn’t the film have wrapped before GOTG2 was even out? Risky trying to ride a wave if you don’t know where the wave’s going to go. Putting a cute character into a movie just to sell toys is a risky proposition either way.
Where were you in '77?
I mean, Bloop has always been with us.
