Why are you buying anything from your gas station? (other than gas, of course)

FTFCA

Well the big chain has stations are probably okay. In fact Casey’s have really good pizza that’s actually prepared fresh on location and not shipped in Frozen and it’s as good as any chain pizza joint.

I highly doubt that.

JEDIT: nvm, you said “chain” pizza joint. Still I wouldn’t trust anything at a gas station.

Well the one where I live you can actually see the kitchen, they have actual food workers not just the clerk running back and forth throwing things in the microwave like other gas station food.

I was sold a bedbug infested mattress by my landlord, and can’t get rid of the bugs and a refund for the mattress. This sucks.

I used to be an apartment manager, and we experienced bedbugs in our complex. Now that the mattress is in your house, I guarantee they’re not limited to the mattress. There are pesticides, but the most effective thing we found was food grade diatomaceous earth (we bought Exo Dust). It’s much more natural and healthier for humans than pesticides and seemed more effective too. I’ll see if I can find a link.

JEDIT: Not the same brand but it looks like the same product. Seriously, buy this and use generously and you’ll be alright!

If they have an actual kitchen then they’re not a gas station, they just happen to also sell gas.

Apparently where Frink lives it’s still 1975 and every gas station is a dingy den of filth. Most of the stations in my city look like sterilized, futuristic diners with gas pumps out front.

Meh. If I can by gas there, it’s a gas station.

Some gas stations around here do look modern, but a lot of them look like schlocky places where you wouldn’t want to use the bathroom.

If someone from out of town was staying with me, need to get gas and I directed them to the walmart down the street, nobody’s gonna argue that it isn’t a gas station.
So I’ll still stand by it.

(these semantics are fun. Been dealing with semantics that aren’t all day.)

Lol, Walmart is not a gas station.

Author

I thought all the “Walmart” gas stations were Murphy USA or something like that.

I don’t like the way millennials overuse, and misuse, the word “random”, as it dilutes its effect. In this case, your TNG meme and your need to reference it comes across as completely and utterly random in the word’s most literal meaning.

Nope, only some. Mine is an actual gas station ran by Walmart. There is no other company involved (besides suppliers obviously) besides Walmart and it is staffed by Walmart employees (sometimes rotated in from the main store to cover breaks and lunches etc). Obviously there’s a whole store in a separate building, but it’s clearly a gas station located on the edge of the parking lot. Just because you could comfortably use their bathroom doesn’t make it not a gas station.

I think I’m getting to the point where I actually lose a tiny bit of respect for people the second I see them obsess about color correction in film.

The Person in Question

Author

Totally with you there. Maybe it’s because I’m a lazy viewer or because I don’t see color differences that well, but I see many of the color correction projects here and I’m all like ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Yeah even for star wars for me honestly. People go on and on about how terrible the Blu Ray look and how botched the colors are and some even say they are unwatchable and I’m like… Yeah I guess they are a little dark sometimes?

(Content changes aside obviously)

Author

Star Wars is one I actually agree with. Not sure what the status of the Blu is but I remember the DVDs were terrible - specifically the blue snow on Hoth in ESB and the lightsabers during the final battle in ROTJ.
