Yhx is right. I’m not the type to wear hats often, but I have a red baseball cap that I used to wear on bad hair days and I wouldn’t dare put it on in public now. It actually really pisses me off. I’d hate for someone from a distance to think I like Trump.

I have a red hat I wore this weekend. It has a [SPORTS TEAM NAME REDACTED] logo on it so it’s plainly obvious it is not a Trump hat from the front. From the back, people I don’t know are seeing it, so what do I care what they think?

Watching The Reagan Show on CNN last night reminded me that Trumpy can’t even coin his own slogan, he stole it from The Gipper.

Also amazing how in three decades people have gone from believing Russian spies were everywhere causing mischief to shrugging off the current scandal.

The montage of press coverage of Reagan’s Strategic Defense Initiative also reminded me how deeply ingrained Star Wars was in the public consciousness even in the lean years after ROTJ. Lucas must have pulled his hair out everytime the press called SDI Star Wars.

Where were you in '77?

What do you mean? Some red hats are perfectly acceptable.

No hat with a sticker on the brim is acceptable.

I’m not entirely opposed to the President’s DACA decision, if only it were part of a broader effort to curb presidential power. Truthfully, that executive order should never have been signed by Obama, regardless of how much you might agree with its effects. Congress should be initiating and following through on such changes.

If Trump were undoing a number of executive orders with a time limit, thus allowing Congress to implement things properly, I wouldn’t be opposed. That said, it doesn’t appear that his goal is actually to limit his own office’s power, but rather to do what is politically expedient for his far right base while still allowing Congress to fix the problem in the end. I don’t oppose DACA; just how it was implemented. And I don’t oppose its demise; just its reasoning.

Hopefully, Congress will reform immigration with an inclusive package for minors with something equivalent to DACA. I’ve long favored immigration reform.

As I am a cynical being, I think that Congress didn’t do its job then and won’t do it now.

Well, to credit Obama for his EO (a practice which I largely oppose), it does put the Republicans in a political predicament, and I actually believe they will be forced to act in the best interest of the dreamers. If he’d not done that, I would agree.

ok, but it you look closely at the one I posted, it is slightly curved. It is not flat.

These cosmological arguments are giving me a headache.

Congress now has 6 months to legalize DACA (something the Obama Administration was unable to do). If they can’t, I will revisit this issue!

Fuck off, asshole. Jerking around 800,000 people is one of the shittiest things you’ve done in a long line of shitty things you’ve done.

Yeah, I as I understand, with DACA, we are talking about illegal immigrants that came here when kids. the overwhelming majority did so with their parents. They can’t have known the ramifications involved in what they were doing. They were just do what their parents told them to do. Many would have been way too young when crossing the border to have any understanding of what they were doing.
