So on the Blu-ray release, one of the better changes (in my opinion) was that George Lucas went back and adjusted the line so that Palpatine says, “The son of Anakin Skywalker must not become a Jedi.” Makes this make so much more sense.
Adywan changed the line back to the original — why? I actually preferred the version on the Blu-ray release, and I think new viewers to The Empire Strikes Back would appreciate it as well. It is a confusing line.
I changed nothing there. He still says “The son of Skywalker must not become a Jedi” on the Blu-Ray release
ziggyonice was a little confused. The actual new line in the Blu-ray release is, “I have no doubt that this boy is the offspring of Anakin Skywalker.”

I didn’t find it confusing.
I was never confused by that line.
I think you guys are underestimating how confused newcomers are to the series when that line is spoken. At this point in the franchise, we only know of one Skywalker: Luke.
Unless for some bizarre reason a person has skipped Star Wars and gone straight to The Empire Strikes Back they would have heard and known:
LUKE: How did my father die?
BEN: A young Jedi named Darth Vader, who was a pupil of mine until he turned to evil, helped the Empire hunt down and destroy the Jedi Knights. He betrayed and murdered your father. Now the Jedi are all but extinct. Vader was seduced by the dark side of the Force.
Now, I don’t know where you’re from but it’s pretty standard for children to take the last name of their father. So yes, we have heard of another Skywalker before ESB.

I never heard of anyone having a problem knowing who the Emperor was talking about in all the years prior to the change. The SE additions are just pointless exposition. There is just no need for it.
benduwan, that website you posted those pictures to is horrendous. They’re so small i can even see most of them. But a couple of thing you seem to point out as mistakes aren’t. Like the X-wing engines for one. I have said already that the engines will be their proper colour when i get around to redoing ANH and the Tantive IV engines are an orange colour and not red.
I think i need to clarify something i said though. When i asked for people to point out any mistakes they see in the video, i meant FX errors ( caused by something i have done) , spelling etc, not continuity errors that may or may not still be there. I’m not interested in those. I’ve done all the ones i wanted to or could do.
every time i think i’m going to be able to take this break, i get sucked right back in again. 😉 But that’s it now. Messages and comments will be replied to after the end of this month. I’m taking this last week or so of August off.

Watched this with a small group this afternoon. It went over very well.
After Yoda had been onscreen for a bit, one of my friends said “Am I crazy or is Yoda… real now?” We all had a laugh and my brother said “That’s what’s taken so long. Guy had to go out and find a real Yoda. That’s dedication.” 😃
(Oh, and that AT-AT/AT-ST double kill had the whole room cheering out loud!)

You did a tremendous job, you deserve more than a month off. Thank you for fixing all the errors that George didn’t.
To all the people that are nitpicking, the movie is done, just let it be the way it is. Let it go.
I’m happy for everything that he has done, he fixed so much, and I’m grateful for it.
I look forward to Return of the Jedi Revisited.

Ady, there’s some funky low-frequency color noise in the background of the shot at 00:24:35.
I noticed it when watching on my projector and it was a lot more visible there than it is now on my monitor but it’s still there and it took me right out of the movie.
The artifacts are likely to have already been there in the BD but they were brought out when you added a more yellow glow from the sun.
A simple low-frequency denoise pass should solve it nicely without affecting the overall detail. I have some great tools for this, so if you send me an uncompressed version of that shot, I’d be happy to give it a go for you 😃

Another small issue I noticed was that in the shot at 01:18:33, which otherwise looks beautiful, the clouds in the bottom center of the frame have a very low-res-upscaled and over-sharpened look to them.

He’s only interested if they’re related to encoding or error made in editing, not the errors I think you’re pointing out.
