The casual viewer is all like “wait, what the hell is going on and why are good actors acting so poorly and why am I watching a 2 hour video game anyway?”

^ still this

have you ever shown the prequels to non-star wars fans? they all think they are poor movies. especially episode II, it is so boring that you can’t even find another complaint worth making, it is just boring.

and i mean adults, children will enjoy all kinds of terrible trash.

Jimmy Smits probably knew he could be replaced, technically he was Bail Organa #2 as the first fellow ended up on the TPM cutting room floor.

Really? I did not know that. Interesting.

Rogue One is redundant. Just play the first mission of DARK FORCES.

I actually enjoyed the newer films, but it’s a totally different feeling from the original trilogy.

Let’s talk about world building: are all Kaminoans living on this “oil rig“? It seems that this oil rig actually produced millions of clones, educated and nurtured them. This “oil rig“ just didn’t sell it for me to be home of “millions“.

Are there more than 3 Kaminoans? It looks more than a deserted outpost than a wealthy nation that can produce millions of clones.

Although I liked Kamino as a location for its special vibe (more than any other location in EP 2) it just didn’t sell it for me.

The inside of the rig feels more like MIB than Star Wars. I don’t know if MIB 2 being in production at ILM at the same time has anything to do with it 😉

When Obi Wan comes in to land on Kamino, you can see another “oil rig” in the background.

Presumably there are more than two, but can’t be seen in the rain and general murk. (IIRC, we see a lot more of Kamino in the TCW series.) That Obi Wan lands on the one where the head guy happens to be, and Jango has his swinging bachelor pad is a coinkydink.

There are other Kaminoans, you just have to look harder.

As to why there seems to be so few of them around the facility, I presume Obi Wan showed up on a weekend.

I still chuckle at the soup ladle/ice cream scoop chairs they sit in. 😉

They don’t look like they would be comfortable for either species to sit in very long.

I didn’t see it until now. Pfff…

Well, so my rant changes from missing to hard to discern

It still feels odd. I like your “all were off, it was Sunday“ comment.

I love the aesthetic of Kamino. Actually, I quite like most scenes set there.

Not enough people read the EU.

Not sure how those mini Jangos even get down from the upper rows? Do they climb over the screens, which look like rows of washing machines now that I think of it.
One of the mini Jangos seems to be having a migraine or an emotional meltdown as well.

I always figured that the Kaminoans who don’t actually work at the oil rig live underwater. Mostly because of the one guy who flies the pterodactyl/manta ray thing out from the ocean.

I hated the prequels for all the reasons stated. I recently saw part of Episode III and forget how bad it was.

That being said, I preferred their attempt at new stories and characters as opposed to Force Awakens soft reboot crap.

Just off the top of my head…

TPM: Anakin, Obi-Wan, Yoda, C3PO, R2D2, The Emperor, Greedo (deleted scene but point stands)
AOTC: Boba Fett, Anakin, Obi-Wan, Yoda, C3PO, R2D2, The Emperor
ROTS: Chewbacca, Luke, Leia, Anakin, Obi-Wan, Yoda, C3PO, R2D2, The Emperor

TFA: Rey, Finn, Poe, Kylo Ren, Phasma, Snoke, Hux, BB8, Maz

Yep, new characters in the PT, same old reboot characters in TFA…

You forgot Jabba in TPM, Owen and Beru in AOTC and ROTS. 😉

The only reason people don’t complain about TPM being a rehash is because that movie has far bigger issues.

Author

Yeah if only TFA had sucked people would stop comparing it to ANH. We can only wish.

They actually called him Bail Antilles instead of Organa when they mention him. Come on George! Can’t you do anything right?

i don’t think the prequels are bad movies i just think they were bad in comparison to the original trilogy, i mean seriously how are you supposed to follow up probably the best movie trilogy ever? i think that episode 3 was a pretty good movie despite creating a few plot holes and the overuse of cgi (oh and padme dying of a broken heart/losing the will to live what ever it was that was dumb)

By writing a trilogy with action, adventure, and heart, characters I actually give a damn about, and no poop or fart jokes?
