I’m glad McCain did the right thing, but I doubt that’s why he did it. I imagine this was playing in his head on repeat.

The Mooch wins in this round.
This is potentially interesting.

Ryan-Priebus ally tells me Trump is moving toward “an independent WH” untethered from the Republican Party
He was never a really good Republican anyway, and I don’t think Trump liked how the vote on “skinny repeal” worked out. We are truly living in interesting times.
Wasn’t The Mooch the often referred to but unseen bully on Diff’rent Strokes?

The Presidency is in turmoil and meanwhile N. Korea is launching missiles. Just great.
The Presidency is in turmoil
To be fair, it’s been in trumoil ever since January 20.

3 Chief of Staffs in less than 3 years of being President: Part of the reason why @BarackObama can’t manage to pass his agenda.

I’ve been enjoying watching the reactions going on around him as McCain kills the bill. I especially like Bernie’s “Hey, get ready for this” nudge and point and the staredown between McCain and McConnell after the vote.

Trump’s new Chief of Staff is… Homeland Security Secretary John Kelly?
His White House in turmoil, President Donald Trump abruptly announced late Friday he was appointing Homeland Security Secretary John Kelly to be his chief of staff, ending the tumultuous six-month tenure of Reince Priebus.
After months of speculation about Priebus’ fate, Trump tweeted his decision just as he landed in Washington after a speech in New York in which he lavishly praised Kelly’s performance at Homeland Security.
Priebus, the former Republican National Committee head, was the frequent target of rumors about his job security amid infighting and confusion within the White House and a long whisper campaign by Trump allies. Then, on Thursday, he was the subject of a remarkable and profane public rebuke by Trump’s newly appointed White House communications director, Anthony Scaramucci.

I am pleased to inform you that I have just named General/Secretary John F Kelly as White House Chief of Staff. He is a Great American…

…and a Great Leader. John has also done a spectacular job at Homeland Security. He has been a true star of my Administration

I would like to thank Reince Priebus for his service and dedication to his country. We accomplished a lot together and I am proud of him!
Fox & Friends is having a full Fox freakout over the full failure of this failed healthcare bill.
“Congratulations, the healthy people are paying for the sick people.”
Yes Fox News, that is how a compassionate and reasonable healthcare system works, I’m glad you are finally on board with the concept. 😉

If Obamacare were done right, the amount paid for insurance by everybody would be a lot less than they’re paying now. Technically, Trump was right about repealing and replacing Obamacare, but we needed to replace it with a real single-payer healthcare system instead of something even worse than Obamacare.
The Person in Question
Trump doesn’t have a clue what he might want in the healthcare bill. He just wants something passed so he can “win”. If the republicans voted for single payer, Trump would sign it. If they voted for an all-out ban on health care, Trump would sign it. The details don’t affect him and so he truly doesn’t care.
Nor is he upset that the particular changes in the “skinny” repeal aren’t happening – in fact, I doubt he is even aware of what is in the “skinny” repeal, despite it being a tiny 1/2 page document written in 3rd grade English. He’s just upset because he hasn’t won yet, and because some of the republicans weren’t loyal enough to make sure he won.

And that’s saying something.

I’m also getting really pissed off by Republicans pretending that the solution to a lot of the violence along the border and in poor communities purely has to do with police crackdown. It’s primarily the fault of the drug war.

They really need to impeach this bastard. I can’t take 4 years of this sh**.
It’s only 3.5 years to go.
I doubt this will happen, and some might argue that 3 is already true, but I don’t think it is. Until Congress gets it’s shit together in a bipartisan way, most people will assume that a change of president is not going to do much.
Yeah I don’t think there really needs to be much of a “sway” for public opinion to be against trump.
It’s only 3.5 years to go.
- Congress needs to start working together
- Achieve some things directly against Trump’s wishes
- Public opinion sways to see how much better things could be without Trump.
- Congress can actually impeach and get rid of Trump
One out of four ain’t bad. Wait, no, one out of four is terrible.
Until Congress gets it’s shit together in a bipartisan way, most people will assume that a change of president is not going to do much.
So that’s a given, then.
One out of four is middle-of-the-road.
In baseball.
