Any chances you will update planet by Death Star to match RO’s Scarif? Maybe debri from the two star destroyers. Just a thought.

Why update planet below Death Star in ANH:R to match Rogue One’s Scarif?

Scarif is not the planet where the Death Star was built.

Rogue One ends just 20 minutes before Star Wars. Why would the Death Star return back to where it was built.

We can safely assume that the Rebels don’t have several months for the Death Star to catch up to the Falcon on Yavin 4.

I gave you the reasons why.

And if Scarif is so important here, why is it that when we first see the Death Star in ANH, it is just sitting out in empty space?

This is one of the changes that Adywan made that everybody loved.

We continue to hear that the Death Star is not yet fully operational and yet it is just sitting out in empty space in some star system unprotected.

A major writing boner that Adywan fixed.

Right up to the last minute, officers, troops, weapons, ships and supplies are being routed to the battle station.

The Death Star has lightspeed travel.

Not necessarily.

Whaaaaaat?

Of course it has lightspeed travel.

What are you thinking?

Do you know how long it would take to get from the Alderaan system to the Yavin system without hyperspace travel?

It is moving around at lightspeed throughout Rogue One.

I find the idea of canon repellent but…in the Decipher collectible card game, which I think was considered canon once upon a time, the Death Star was given hyperspace capabilities. It was slow, but it could go.

Since the movie doesn’t explain how far away it is, it’s nothing that can be measured.
And since Star Wars is fantasy, none of it matters.
It’s not really anything that bothers me either way.

“Sir, we’re detecting a massive object emerging from hyperspace.” *Death Star shown on Scarif horizon.

Yes, it has light speed. I’d think the fully operational part refers to the multi-reactor laser. They’ve only tested the single reactor.

I don’t see why the blue planet shouldn’t be or become Scarif in ANH:R. It would connect the films.

Exactly. I think that maybe making the planet a tad brighter would make it look a lot like Scarif.

Perhaps aswell adding some tones of green for the trees down there, also some gray for where its shown the damaged spot by the death star shot, that would be a cool refference to Rogue One

I don’t really care if it’s in the shape of a movie, or a cartoon tv-series, or if it’s on videogames and books. Neither if it’s canon or legends; I love all my Star Wars (yes, even the prequels).

“Laugh it up, Fuzz ball.”

Oh wait, no, not all of it, don’t count the Holiday Special on it.

That opening shot with Darth Vader’s helmet entering the Tantive IV really gets me every time. Would it be wise to have a go at inserting the Rogue One helmet into the shot? Problem is, it still won’t really match Vader further into the film.

My only suggestion to improve this masterpiece of what is the definitive version of this film, is a slight addition of music to tie Empire and Jedi with the Original. It works perfectly with the existing instrumentation the closes out the scene.

Some people are passionate that the Imperial March does not belong in ANH, but I disagree, as long as the editor can squeeze it in tactfully. I think that was a perfectly good use of the cue.

They mention the Death Star coming out of Hyperspace-I would have really liked to have seen that. Hyperspace warps space, so I assume you don’t really have to be fast to go through Hyperspace.

The Death Star coming out of Hyperspace is no different than seeing the ships of the rebel armada come out of hyperspace above Scarif fifteen minutes earlier in the movie.
