I got the same, though with the words flipped around for some reason.

I Was With Her though

I’m farther on the left than I ever suspected. I don’t know whether to laugh or cry over this.

Why would someone be saddened over what they believe?

My guess is because his family believes left = bad.

CNN reserves the right to publish his identity should any of that change.

Aren’t they journalists? Make the decision based on what you think the principles of journalism require, not based on this guy meeting your demands. I don’t think it’s unreasonable to call this blackmail. “Do what we want or we release your information.”

Yeah, after sleeping on it, that’s the part that comes off badly. It sounds like a threat.

I had a parchment copy of the Declaration of Independence when I was a kid. It was probably a Bicentennial thing since my family visited Philly in '76.

Don’t know if it’s still a state requirement anymore, but I had to memorize the preamble to the Constitution back in jr. high. Of course, Schoolhouse Rock made that kind of easy by making a song out of it. 😃

I have one of the Declaration of Independence, the US Constitution and the Bill of Rights. They sold those things at historic sites in Philly. The did so in the 80’s as well. For all I know, they still might.

And they probably still have that Benjamin Franklin lookalike running around, although I suspect it’s actually the real Ben, who either invented a time machine, or is an immortal. 😉

I think the guy known for dressing up like Franklin has passed away.

That’s too bad. I thought there had been multiple Bens over the decades.

Hyperbolic statement, was Hyperbolic.

FWIW, I thought I was more of a centrist.

I gave up on that poll part way through. The questions are too vague, confusing and non-specific to render any meaningful result. The clever polls ask very specific questions and interpret your response based on those. A couple of examples…

Q1: Oppression by corporations is more of a concern than oppression by governments?

Depends on the corporation and the governments. Also…

Q12: Excessive government intervention is a threat to the economy?

…is very stupid indeed. If it’s “excessive” then of course it’s a threat.

VIZ TOP TIPS! - PARENTS. Impress your children by showing them a floppy disk and telling them it’s a 3D model of a save icon.

Netcraft confirms it: we’re all a bunch of damn liberals. Some of those questions were so vague or open to interpretation that I couldn’t in good conscience give any result other than “Neutral”, though.
