I thought it might be fun if we all explained our choice of avatar and name.

My avatar is extremely recognizable, as it is Charles Chaplin famed silent film star. I used him as I enjoy his work, and it was unique.
My name robertelee is not a reference to the civil war general, rather it’s just the email I have used since I was 5, created unaware of the civil war connection.

Unless your name is Robert E. Lee, this is not credible and makes no sense whatsoever.

In fact, even if your name is Robert E. Lee, it would still undoubtedly have a connection to the historical personage, because your parents could not have been unaware of him, an would have to have decided, fuck yeah that shit’ll be funny.

I was 5 when I created that email. I had proboably heard the name somewhere, but did not know who it was. I just liked the alliteration of e lee

He probably had one of his parents set it up for him. And Club Penguin wouldn’t have been worth it. When I was little that’s what a lot of other kids at my school were playing, but it was just dumb.

By the way, can Jay change the thread name to The “WHEN YOU WERE FIVE?” Thread?

Yeah, it was dumb. I played it all the time, but it was dumb. The site shut down recently and I actually logged in for the first time in many years on the last day just for old times’ sake.

Another popular dumb game was Roblox. I never understood the appeal to any of those games. If I wanted to play a dumb game I’d turn on the game cube and do some LEGO Star Wars. 😛

Oh shit, I just realized my nine-year-old daughter doesn’t have an email address. She’s four years behind…how will she ever get into college now?
