The beautiful thing about fan edits is that they’re SUPER easy to ignore.

WHYYYYYY??? What reason do you have for killing Lando off??? Just because he’s not in the Sequel Trilogy doesn’t mean he’s dead!!

And what are you going to do about if it does happen?

He’s not going to kill Lando off after all. It was a joke on his part.

Maybe saying he wouldn’t was the joke.

He added winking face emojis at the end of his last few posts. I think he really was kidding.

To be fair, I coined the phrase “What The Special Editions Should Have Been”, these are basically Ady’s personal edits that he happens to share with the rest of the world

Well I think you were spot on with that summation. After watching ANH:R, that’s exactly what they feel like - actual special editions of the originals where actual love and care has gone into restoring the original footage up to a current day standard as much as possible, fixing all the little things you wish could have been fixed at the time of actual filming and incorporating graphical effect updates without losing the look and feel of what made the originals so special in the first place. Basically just enhancing what is already there rather than trying to essentially rewrite history to an extent as GL tries to do and in doing so, tramples all over fan’s precious good memories of the OT.

So soldier on Adywan! Like Harmys DSE are the definitive versions for an authentic vanilla OT experience, I believe yours will be the definitive versions for an OT SE experience like never experienced before.

Also, I can’t wait to see what you do with the PT ;D

I like these edits though if I can nitpick. I would have loved it if all the 90’s cgi that he’s keeping in these edits would have been updated to modern standards. Cgi has come a long since then that’s why with today’s cgi it would be awesome.

I think most people agree that it looks pretty dated. Updating it all to today’s Hollywood standards would be an extremely expensive endeavor (thousands or millions of dollars).

Most of the CGI in the battle of yavin, for example, can be replaced with models for a more realistic look.

Someone should have thought of doing that in the first place!

Do you think Ady still has a surprise for us in this movie? Something that will just blow us away. I look forward to watching this and experiencing that moment.

Jees, the last 2 latest films were widely accepted by us fans, but MasterAdy doesn’t have those sort of resources like the film studios have.

A lot of those look sharper with those filters, but it’s a no go with the Bespin shots as they are far to pink to me.

There’s already been SO MANY moments generously previewed to us all throughout this thread which have genuinely blown me away these past few years, such as the new ‘asteroid trench’ segment and the AT-AT battle enhancements to merely name just two examples.

It seems that there’s hardly a scene throughout this edit which isn’t being brilliantly enhanced in some minor or major way…and when all these elements are eventually viewed one after the other, I’ve no doubt that fans of ESB are genuinely going to be blown away by the end of it all.

Spoiler alert: I hear Adywan is making Darth Vader say he is Luke’s father! But we’ll have to wait until ROTJ:R to find out if it’s true.
