General Star Wars Random Thoughts Thread — Page 317

I had a dream the other night that I was in a museum where you could watch any of the Star Wars films, but they had accidentally uploaded the original 1977 version of Star Wars into the system.

Except this version included a previously unknown deleted scene in which, high on a scrubby green hill, Grand Moff Tarkin, Obi-wan Kenobi and a third character debated Luke’s fate. The third character resembled a muppet-style talking hay bale, dressed in a brown robe, and was named Kale. The argument got pretty heated, and it ended with Obi-wan leaping into the air to deliver a kick to Kale’s face.

Now if that doesn’t count as General Star Wars Random Thoughts…

Sounds like you somehow entered George’s dreamscape. 😉

Come on, no one would be stupid enough to name a Star Wars character “Kale.”

Oh.

Guys, Frink is talking to himself again.

There’s much more exciting stuff happening in the forum right now.

Well duh, but that’s off topic.

You probably don’t recognize me because of the red arm.

I couldn’t imagine watching the entire PT in one sitting or evening.

Ok, stupid but genuine question, in the outdoor Tatooine shots in IV, for some reason the lower right panel on R2’s back is painted uniformly grey. Any point? Production goof? It seems intentional and I don’t think that body was re-purposed at any time to be another droid so what gives? It goes away for pretty much every indoor shot and Mos Eisley, so maybe my sleep-deprived brain is going crazy…

What, a man builds a giant mound of dirt in his house and you aren’t entertained?

I couldn’t imagine watching more than half of Attack of the Clones in one week.

Who cares what you couldn’t imagine? There’s much more exciting stuff happening in the forum right now.

It may be a production goof, since the Tatooine bits were shot before the rest of the film.

“That Darth Vader, man. Sure does love eating Jedi.”

On that note, how did R2 and 3PO get so dirty simply stepping out of the escape pod and walking 500 feet?

The Jedi are all but extinct.......

Have…have you never spent any time in sand? It’s rough and coarse and it gets everywhere.

Also why did R2 waste his time rolling around on Tatooine instead of using his rocket boosters?

Prequelism.

Or, if you for some reason accept Prequelisms, sand got inside them and messed 'em all up.
