Actually without spamming posts although some shots the engines are pink, in some shots they are wight and some shots they are red.

So It’s got a serious problem at the top end which is likely seeing as it’s an old film. But It would be a investigation if someone wants to launch it.

But this film is all fluctuating hues it’s not far if you also have a hue shift what is also next along from red it’s pink!

I’ll remind you of the pink jumpsuits too. It’s worth an investigation probably not here but I think it is an interesting topic.

Interesting any raw images of the footage of engine lights from Star Wars?

And any images from either ESB or ROTJ of engine lights?

Perhaps as layers were added with Blue screen removal and keying out blue pink engine became red engine?

agreed not blue bleed doing anything like you say in ROTJ.

Pink or red doesn’t really matter. They’re engines, the colors don’t mean anything.

The Death Star graphics though is something I’m worried about. It was a simple mistake in the original. Rogue One using the same graphics was their way of fixing the mistake - same as adywan in ANHR - by making it seem like it was intentional. But it still makes little sense, and requires a bullshit explanation outside of the film to explain why it’s that way (the hard drive has every version of the plans I guess?). Even with that silly explanation, it doesn’t make any sense at all for the Rebels to be using and showing out of date plans when they’re planning their attack. I think you can still keep continuity with RO and still fix the plans (in RO we see early versions of the plans and in ANH we see the current plans). To use the old graphics for the briefing scene is a huge misstep, I think.

Sorry I just find stuff like this interesting… It does not matter that much I just find it interesting when stuff comes out differently say wrong color due to perhaps a problem with film or something similar (Pink, white, Red)… It’s not a big deal just interesting. There is no upset from me about what color Ady wants to make the engines.

I always like to investigate things like this especially if it has lights involved…

Doesn’t matter at all, but I do prefer the pink glow. Makes it look weird and sci-fi.

Yep. I’d much rather see Ady add the updated plans to R1 instead of demoting his change in ANH:R For all the reasons you’ve stated.

Okay, then. What would YOUR in-universe explanation be for the different looking Death Star plans when taking both Rogue One and A New Hope Revisited into account?

The plans with the dish on the equator were very clearly shown on the screen as they being downloaded to the disc they gave to Leia.

What all the conversation over this I was curious, so I dusted off my Star Wars Laser Disc (There was really a lot of dust) to see what the engines looked like before the Special Ed. or Blurays. They were mostly pink. More white in a shot or two, more red when Vader shot R2. But for the most part they did look pink.
I don't know if it will help you out at all Ady, but I can send you DVD copiess of the Laser Discs for all three movies.
I personally really like the changes to the Death Star Plans in Revisited. So much that I used the Revisited Death Star schematic as my DVD art. I hate to see it go.
So it's official? Adywan is doing Rogue One: Revisited? So we get ESB:R in March and RO:R in April? Please add B-wings and a couple additional Wilhelm Screams. Also, I don't think Vader's chest plate blinks in Rogue One.

Thanks.

Fake news. 😉

I’m surprised the internet didn’t implode after Ady said that. Lol

^^ This.

The updated graphic in the briefing room looks immensely better than the cheesy 70’s original, and much better illustrates the Rebels attack plan.

However, I have an idea for mostly keeping both.

If the graphic seen in Rogue One can be considered a “thumbnail” image and the ANH graphics the actual technical readouts, the two could be reconciled by just moving the firing dish above the equator in the Rogue One graphic. The graphics in ANH could be recoloured back to blue to keep the association with the Rogue One plans, while distancing them a bit from the (I assume preliminary) plans received on Geonosis in AOTC.

They told me they’d fixed it!

I concur with this assessment. For continuity with the excellent work he has done with Revisited in bridging the gap between the prequel graphics and the OT - I would hope he keeps the graphics he used for ANH-R, and perhaps change them in R1 to match. I mean if you look at the marketing posters for R1, the schematics for the Death Star are almost a dead ringer for the DS graphics Ady used in the Briefing Room scene.

Unless the dot matrix equator dish schematic serves as a kind of animated gif tag that identifies the Stardust file. R1 did not showcase any other graphics, not the wireframe trench or anything else. Maybe that equator dish graphic can serve as an identifier of the file, like an icon rather than the schematics themselves.

It’s also a bit late to consider now, but Bandai is releasing a stunning accurate ESB Scout Walker model kit for the 40th anniversary along with the most detailed AT-AT I have seen sold at retail. The AT-AT will even feature moveable legs, joints and guns, both side and chin guns. Someone postulated that it was engineered for doing go-motion/stop motion movies at home on an iPhone.

I find your lack of faith…disturbing
