Well I’d be going primarily for TLJ so I might be satisfied.
I’ve been to the two previous Orlando conventions. I’m honestly debating whether to go back. The first time I went for the Ralph McQuarrie art exhibit, which was great fun, but the second time I wasn’t as impressed with what was on offer there.
“That Darth Vader, man. Sure does love eating Jedi.”

Sure, don’t let me stop you. 😃

So, if Star Wars takes place a long time ago? Why would they have Jefferson Starship? He might not have even been born at the time.
I’ve been to three or four now. I’d say it’s worth it. Even before Disney took over and there was nothing happening it was worth it. BUT NOW, with new Star Wars always on the horizon? Celebration is the best. Always dropping exclusive announcements/first looks. There’ll no doubt be a special teaser for TLJ that won’t be released to the public. Probably one for Han Solo as well. As well as ample opportunity to meet various cast and crew that have worked on the films/shows. There are always lots of panels going on. Too many to see all of the ones that you might want to. I’m actually quite upset I’m not able to go this year.
That said there are some downsides. A lot of times they’ll underestimate the popularity of something and book it to a smaller room. Which means missing out unless you get into line early. There are a lot of lines. Some people will line up over night to get into certain things. I also heard something about introducing stupid event wristbands this year? Sounds like it’ll be a mess.
But even with that, I still say it’s worth it. It’s always fun.
While the teaser is enticing I’m more interested in the information Rian among others will dish out regarding TLJ. That and reveling in the love of Star Wars. The only thing is that I have no one to go with. Being a recluse is fine until situations like this pop up.
I just read on wookipedia that they don’t mention who Jefferson Starship is. So I guess that isn’t a problem.
Jefferson Starship isn’t a “he”, it’s a band. With a female singer. Evolved from the vastly superior Jefferson Airplane.
With that said, what in the world are you talking about?
I’ve only been to one Celebration and it was definitely worthwhile.
Keep Circulating the Tapes.
END OF LINE
(It hasn’t happened yet)
I’ve always wanted to go since I was a kid. Someday, if it’s close enough by (or if I have money enough to travel) I will absolutely go.
Wish it was going to be in Anaheim this year instead of 2015 because I could probably do that.
Shame too because I’m sure there’ll be amazing stuff for the 40th.
I wanted to do the last Anaheim one, but the costs just got too high for me with other bills to pay, and nobody to room with. (Smaller cons don’t have those kind of hotel prices.) I also don’t do too well standing in infinitely long lines on hot sunny days.
For those of you going to Orlando, remember you are OT ambassadors. No drunken partying, or trashing hotel rooms, or giving Jar Jar cosplayers a wedgie. 😉
Where were you in '77?

Lol, I had no chance at interpreting what was going on and had just given up.

If there was ever a year in which they would show out it would be this one…I don’t really think I have a choice anymore.
I haven’t seen Star Wars Holiday Special in a long time, so I forgot that band had a female lead singer.
I want to get this book but it’s ridiculously hard to find online or in stores for a reasonable price. The online bookshop I usually get Star Wars books from doesn’t stock it, which is annoying.
Case in point, this, which, at least for me, lists it as $750.00.

Shipping to Australia for that costs around thirty dollars. But don’t worry, I’ve found one for only thirteen AUD including shipping.

ALLOL, no need, but would you be able to tell me what the actual cover is, inside the dust jacket, because I found an edition that doesn’t include the dust jacket and I want to know if it will just be the regular cover or black with the title, like a lot of hardback books.
Actually, a photograph would be lovely, if it’s not too hard.

Unfortunately me and my book collection are on opposite sides of the United States right now, so, while I’d be happy to provide a picture, it actually would be a little too hard at present.
I can say, going from memory, that I’m about 85% sure the cover is the same under the jacket. Then again, I can’t remember anything about the book itself, so maybe take that with a grain of salt, but I am pretty sure.

Thanks man, that’s what I was hoping. I’ll get on to ordering it now.

Yeah, you can get them for 12 dollars new on Amazon. Or 1 cent used.
