I had a thought, and probably totally off base but I think it would be pretty cool. We’ve seen the toy packaging and the poster. And the teaser crawl photo was B&W. Why? RED OPENING CRAWL. Totally not going to hapoen, and I’m sure a lot of people would find the break from tradition off putting. But I’d dig it.

Well, I guess we don’t have to worry about any propaganda of the DEED then. 😉

“That Darth Vader, man. Sure does love eating Jedi.”

Red logo + crawl would be dumb. The closest thing to that I would ever be remotely okay with is like… amber.

yeah, the more i think about it, the more i think the novelty would wear off by like the second viewing

A Rey parentage reveal is needed at some point, after what was set up.

As I said for “last Jedi living in nowhere”, just because it was thrust upon by TFA it does not mean it is not a rehash.

DominicCobb said:

I see TFA and the ST as less a direct sequel and more a continuation further down the line with a new generation.

Well regardless of how you see it, the truth is that TFA is more of a soft remake than sequel.

French title released: Les derniers Jedi. Yep, plural, so several Jedi are expected.

I know of at least one language where the title was translated in singular. So this does not seem to be very reliable.

A mistake can be made in one way, but not the other way.
In french, you just can’t translate “The Last Jedi” in plural by mistake.

What language? And was this official or was it just a quick translation for an article, for example?

What’s the internal temperature of a TaunTaun? Luke warm.

What do you mean you cannot translate “The Last Jedi” in plural by mistake? “The Last Jedi” in English can be both plural or singular, therefore you do not know which one is it when you are translating.

He wants to say “rehash” so badly right now.

He also wants to say “truth” so badly right now, but since it has eluded him, he’s flailing about, and it’s glorious.

I see you’re getting your truth from Rasmussen Reports again.

He truly has nothing this time but unfortunately like a wounded cockroach he will scurry away to pester us at a later time. Until the day he gets squshed by the ban hammer. Definitely a day I’m looking forward to.

What I said was the truth. I said “I know of at least one language where the title was translated in singular”. I did not translate it myself.

Ok but what language was it? Where did you see it? Was it official merchandise?

And what if the reveal is a character we never met before? Still a rehash?

Honestly, unless she ends up the kid of the main villain who supposedly killed her dad, I don’t see how the reveal would be a rehash.

I think soft reboot is a bit closer to the truth.

I say it was a hard resuscitation.
